Well because the Trabant IS in fact a terrible car and there is nothing to debate on that matter..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_automobiles_known_for_negative_reception

I miss a lot in this list.. and I don't think the DeLorean belongs there
but just look at the list.. a Ford Mustand, a Chevrolet Corvette, some Dodge's
all in the same list of 'worst cars' ;)

Or lists like this
https://www.hotcars.com/ranking-the-20-worst-american-cars-ever-made/

actually some fun hits on google searchign for the worst car ever :D

I'm glad they put the Pontiac ACKtek and the PT(PTooey!) Cruiser on there. They certainly deserve it.
And while the '71-'73 'Stang was a poor car, it did carry the name, so it kept up the continuous production.

Surprised not every single FIAT car is on that list. The Fiat Spider 124 is just a rebadged Mazda Miata and a bad one at that.

My grandparents used to have a Fiat, and my grandpa said it constantly needed tuneups.
Garbage.
And the current Fiat 500 looks like a Smart Car. I wish they were called Idiotic Cars.

I think the not-so-smart car was conceived by someone who wanted to be a fish...
'Cuz it's like an itty-bitty sardine can! :roflol:

the original Fiat 124 is actually a great car..
as is the original Fiat 500 (for very different reasons and purposes)

And a Fiat Dino spider (1969'ish) is a work of art in fact!
(~150k in hard cash if you want one nowadays)
That's what I meant.. every company no matter how badly received has likely had a car
I'd like to own myself :D

And then... Fiat Multipla... the ugly duckling of soccermom cars
bad in every possible way..

Oh noooo.. smarts was a good concept badly realized
the concept was a pure electrical four hub motor driven city car,
designed ONLY to use the least amount of parking space possible.
unfortunately the original designer (SWATCH) sold the concept and yeah..
It's ugly I admit (we call it an elephant's roller skate 'Elefantenrollschuh' )
But the idea behind it -in a crowded city with no parkingspace- was indeed smart;
Why a multiton SUV to haul a single butt from home to work
(usually less than 20mls around here)
when all you need is a TVChair with wheels?
Okay compensators for subpar testicular enduement needs 600horses
to go 17mph for 20miles to work, but the rest doesn't ;)

the Smart is one of the ugliest cars I've seen..
BUT the original FIAT 500 isn't any bigger really and it's a cutie.
(seen one with a Hayabusa 1.3l 160horse engine once.. jeez that can scare the heck out of some full grown cars :D)
Putting the new GSX-R 1000 engine in one (205hp)
would make it one of the cars on my 'do want' list btw

We have Range Rovers and Land Rovers. But outside of a handful of foreign cars, it's pretty scarce here. Mostly has to do with safety and emission mandates. It's a royal pain to get some cars here.

The problem I have with European cars is that they are very expensive to fix if broken. Plus I'm not a fan of the 90k or 105k timing belt replacement, but that goes for all cars.

Favorite car is a Bmw 850csi.
I fricken love that car...

I miss my old 87 Chrysler fifth ave...3 owner...100K Mi.... Originally from California. no rust at all... It was in pretty good shape.... smoothest ride, and the best seat Ive ever sat in...Corinthian leather.....Burgundy......... I still remember that last song I listened to before the tape player died and almost ate my tape(still have it, I saved it)....Huey lewis- The Heart of Rock and Roll.....ahhhh the 80's..... good times....
Had to sell it... still sad about that....

I have a '92 Nissan d21 pickup.... totally an African special....almost a 1/2 mil on the clock... still runs and drives great...Sounds horrible, broken exhaust off at the cat, the de-cell pops are getting louder though...
I really love this truck....

Favorite engine is an RB26DETT.... I heard something they are selling these now as crate engines... almost bought one for the truck.....alot of work though....like alot of work to make it fit/work.....
Second..... is a 6BT.... it weighs as much as the truck..... would be really cool.... ton of work...

Do you yanks have any opinions on "REAL" cars? like Land Rovers and Holdens and Jap Spec cars.

I like Mighty Car Mods. That’s about as far as my opinion on JDM goes. lol

I'd rather have a '69 Nova with a built 350, or a '65 Falcon Futura with a built 351w. Speaking of which I keep forgetting to get that truck from my grand uncle.

Oh, and 'sid changed the name again.

Talk about an overrated underpowered SUV. Besides, why get that when you can be king of the road in a Ford Excursion.

I'm talking about the good 'ol 1970s ones.
And I'm partial to just about anything with a Ford badge on it.
