We cracked it!!! Flip the yellow and blue phases and the yellow and green halls and you’re Gucci
I finally have reverse which is my forward in this case, I am disgusted by the process of no wiring diagram or info at all, but you boys keep saving the day, thanks to FA and Sid as well, they are doing great work, thanks all.
I agree the yellow and blue phases and the yellow and green halls are switched and the opposite direction of rotation is the result!! High gear appears to work or the two speed so that is sweetness but also the low speed is going to save lives so it's cool feature. This is working well on the bench now to get some wind in my hair, switching out the sprockets now but had to come thank you guys first! cheers!

The first flight has taken place! Wow! Pretty cool motor, I love the brushless compared to my brushed motors as it is very quiet and it hits hard in high gear so I can wheelie at will but I agree it's not really what the specs say but it's got some top end legs now and it's way too fast to let anyone else use top gear. Installed in a Monster Moto MM1000 Electric mini bike chassis and upgraded to lithium battery for this 48volt motor, I guess it's a MM1800Li now eh. thanks again!
Let me know if your speed settings are different. I tried jumping yellow to ground and blue to ground both were slower than just the default.

Hiya- I’m a new user here and am building a bike using two of these motors and controllers. And I have a couple of questions that I am getting nothing from web searches.
The first- and most important. Will two motors, each with their own controller, be enough to move something in the neighborhood of 700 lbs?
And it kind of looks like I can wire steps in the speed the motors will go? I am building it for an event and will want to ride it across town a little faster than a crawl but when we get to the event, I will need to move a little slower than a walking pace. Do the motors work ok at part throttle? Or should I gear it to run wide open at the speed I want?
Also, can I use the signal for one throttle to run both controllers? If that won’t work, I am planning on disassembling one so that I can stack them on the same shaft, but would rather not do that as I have it in my head that one throttle for both motors will balance them some.

Yes they may be able to do it
...but, it's probably going to have to be geared really low (= "slow")
(so the motors don't overheat (work too hard)
You, shouldn't need to "wire steps" or what ever
IIRC...the controllers for these motors have a connection/plug to attach a "speed switch" (for low, med & high gear/speed)
I haven't tried it but, I have heard of others that have used (1) throttle to send a signal/control to (2) controllers "simultaneously"
Yeah visually disappointing is a good description on the bench test. However when I actually got the motor installed the Torque was impressive and it wasn't represented on the bench. The top speed was a little disappointing, that's why I had hope when I read about the 3 speeds but was dismayed to discover the way mine was, like yours, was top speed open pins.
