Hopefully it isn't raining in the morning. 20% chance of rain. Low to mid 40's F. 75% Humidity. Better Fall Tuning Weather than earlier today. I'll bring the jets.

Right now, jets are 35 Idle, 108 main, Needle raised one clip position from stock middle position, power jet capped off, 0.040" Coil Gap, 0.002" Intake lash, 0.003 Exhaust lash, AR3910X Plug.

Walked over to the Garsge, like I normally do. Started it up on the stand. Was checking Belt alignment and fiddling with the idle mixture screw. Figured it was good at 1 3/8 turns out. Then immediately ran out of gas. 3 gas cans. 1 can 100 Octane maybe 1 mo old? 1 can 100 Octane 1 year old. 1 can premium 6 months old.

Guessing the strongest smelling was the best, but would have been just guessing.

Walking home with my gas can so I can go to a station with 100 Octane.
Does Octane booster work? How much to turn gallon of premium to 100 Octane?

Says 1 oz per gallon max for engines with 02 sensors. Figure 2 oz of this with 1 gallon of 93 Octane will be fine. At 11:1 with 32 BTDC and AR3910x plug, I might be able to run regular premium, but I don’t really know. This will make things 93 times easier for me if the engine likes this Booster/Stabilizer.

This is interesting, has some home brew octane booster recipes.

To bad Speedy 212, is gone. I'm sure he had some gnarly concoctions. Lol.

You are probably aware that some of the claims of commercially available octane boosters should be taken with a grain of salt. For example a 2 point boost might mean going from 92 to 92.2.

I tried some 104 octane boost in a 82 V45 Sabre, in 83 or 84, can't remember lots of substance abuse between then and now. I do remember it didn't run well, probably because I just dumped some in, and it didn't need it in the first place.

Do you really need high octane guzzoline? Wow.

If you can, go for 100% gasoline, no alky. I can notice a difference.

Oh, and a hearty well done on this thread, and very much appreciated. As far as new minibikes go, these kit bikes are fairly rare on the spectrum. The hobby seems to be dominated with either the "old fogeys" on 1960-1970's era machines (and restoring/modding them) or the newer Chinese stuff; Baja Warrior/Doodlebug, Coleman, Moto ____ and whatever else out there I may have missed.

A few guys do the Azusa bikes and the new rebirthed Tacos...but those still seem like fringe stuff.

This is like 70% build/30% review...sort of.

I couldn't be happier.

You should leave the thread then. The chances for disappointment are high and looming before thee. In other words, once past the pinnacle, you can only come down. :D

Speedy 212 would just pour gasoline on top of something, blow it with a hair dryer and call it high performance. He was high all right.

Now it's GAB on the gasoline itself? When does this end?

This one says 30pts and says 87 to 89.3 (isn't that 23, not 30?)...
Each 16-ounce bottle of Max-Boost treats up to 25 gallons of gasoline, with the maximum recommend and effective dosage for vehicles with 02 sensors or catalytic converters at one (1) ounce of Max-Boost per gallon of fuel. At our recommended dosages the Royal Purple Max-Boost will not be able to boost an 87 octane fuel up to a 91-93 octane fuel. At our maximum recommend and effective dosage of 1 ounce of Royal Purple Max-Boost per gallon of fuel with a 87 octane fuel, this will likely result in a 89.2 or 89.3 octane fuel.

Brake locked up? What happened there?

I dunno? It was loose, then magically fine, now locked up. I didn't bleed them. Guessing vibrations knocked some air bubbles around or something. Got work in a bit.

I'm sorry for jinxing your progress. I was NOT praying for your brake to lock up.

I was just trying to protect EZ²COME-GO from harsh realities...:D

Hey, that thing sounds good though. Nice exhaust burble. Can you take us along for the ride next time? 1st person video-cam style?

...Look at this exhaust for $45. Where was that a month ago?

I think maybe you can work in a discount from the vendor for that pipe, you know, seeing how you've done a wholly positive review for their product here...not to mention you're a loyal customer...
