Cool... Thanks...
The wire from the block... Goes to the gold block... Just unplug them...
The one from the gold block, cover back up to prevent from grounding out...

Oh yeah...that engine definitely comes with a low oil sensor that needs to be disconnected.

That's why it dies in turns.

Disconnect the yellow wire in pic #2 and wrap it in tape so it won't short out....done.

So... Screw off the bolt and tape it? I don't understand...

I use the boot that covers the pair. Just slide it over... It just needs to be protected from ground...
You could also use it for a kill switch..

There is two wires, one directly from the block, another from a gold coloured box... A pair of wires...

A boot... In this case is exactly that, a cover for the wire connection... They are typically green coloured... To protect the connection from contacting ground...

Sorry Doug.... I know the pics are big....

The two wires seperated. The one from the box has a boot... If is already protecting the connector leave it... If not slide it over to what is shown...

no I've never taken it to anyone

I probably should get the engine checked out

there's a killswitch on the pics.. (toggle switch on the steering column)
have you tried starting the engine with that switch in BOTH toggle positions already?

I marked it in your image... see below

Is that a high-tech string-operated throttle?

Nice Streaker.

I got one just like it but "The Rebel" decal didn't fare too well--'tis a shame too.

Here's one in better shape:
