do you happen to know why you guys are using Ni-Ai Bronze, instead of silicon bronze?.. Just curious they are both used in boats, just wonder why one over another.
I'll have to ask engineering to clarify that for us, but all we use in our foundry is straight bronze and NiBral, which is another name for Ni-Al bronze.
If what you're referring to as silicon bronze is our straight bronze, I'll confirm it, but that alloy hasn't come up by name in the time I've been there.

EDIT: Straight bronze is OK for prop's, but NiBral is the industry standard for both commercial and government propeller's. The commercial ones we make carry some prominent name's, and some of the "one off's" won't show up there. We mfg prop's for the Coast Guard as part of our mix as well...
