Yes, Sir. Great little engines. I'm not sure exactly how far I'll go with it yet. I do know, that I'll put a header, high flow UNI, jet the carb, remove the governor, and put a 22mm mikuni carb and DF44 fuel pump on it.
That should get me somewhere around nine horses.
We'll see how it goes from there, I suppose.

EDIT: Just had breakfast... priming the pump for Sunday football here in North America.

the TV in the basement all to myself. Anyway, I get evil looks if I pass gas in front of my girlfriend
My boys think it's hilarious though. What boy doesn't? I did wipe it off a bit right before the picture... because when I went to check the if there was oil in it, it started running out all over the place. Luckily, I had a folded box beneath it. There was barely any dirt on it anyway though.
I don't know why the previous owner put so much oil in it.
I've got a service manual for the GX series engines on the way in post. I could just look up what I need to know online, but I just like books. Actual paper books. Plus, if the boys want to help, it makes it easier for them to follow and for me to explain.
Governor is coming out first. Since I'll have it all apart, I might as well check valve lash and torque everything to spec.
New toys are awesome.
Just wanted to give some credit to Amazon seller Honda Power Equipment Publications.
They ship fast, have decent prices, and on my last order, they included the famous Honda carburetor check sheet... in POSTER form. I was wondering what it was as I unfolded it, and was pleasantly surprised when I realized what it was. Very cool off them to throw that in there!
In other news, I have an ARC billet connecting rod on the way, and a GX140 emulsion tube as well. I already have a mikuni DF44 fuel pump to slap on too.
Assorted sizes of main jets, and a replacement for the one out of the predator that I drilled out... because I'm stealing the header and UNI filter from the mini bike.
-make a seat for son's kart
-put j header on it
-pimp my GX160
Christmas holiday is going to kick butt.

Make sure my axle is long enough for what? The wheels I got from eBay? Not worried about that yet, I haven't started the frame for my kart yet. Plus, I'll probably end up using those wheels for a razor kart I'm converting to gas for my son. Extending the frame too.... as soon as I get all of the powdercoat off that is (insert expletive).
You're correct though, those wheels are pretty deep. Thanks for the heads up.

Don't try. Powder coating makes a good, solid base; just lightly sand it with a fine grit paper & paint over it...

That is a +.010 rod. Be sure to check the oil clearance between the rod bearing and the crank. Does your engine have a flat top/dished piston? Does your piston with the stock rod (3.303) come up even with the top of the block, if so then you will have a .010 pop out, causing me to check the clearance between the valves and the piston. Is that a 140 e-tube?- Status
