should i blow out the carburetor cleaner after i spray it in and let it sit for 15 minutes?

on and russ i read the manual thoroghly and it never said anything about the muffler

That, or just dip it in acetone. Works great.

I recently swapped out a '63 horizontal 2 hp flywheel and coil with a '98 vertical 3.5 hp flywheel and coil with no issues. Points and condenser no longer needed.
Runs like a bumble bee in heat.

:bannana: OMG my engine is amazing and it works like a pro. There is no stop switch on this engine!! The only way i can stop it is pulling the lead off which risks of getting shocked sometimes. The go kart that i'm getting has a stop switch and i'm wondering how you hook it up to the engine and if it will stop the engine or if you already needed an existing stop switch. Also now i need a clutch for it and the pipe for it. I have that stuff handled. The only thing now that i need is info on the stop switch. Oh and the engine has some wires but i don't know what they do! they're just hanging on the side. i think that they were to the stop switch before someone ripped it off. i can't believe this engine is running like new now!

it's really hard to start how can i get it to start better. at least it's hard to start afer havn't been run for a day

K the shock isnt THAT bad. While I was winterizing my dragster this weekend there was a broken high tension wire off the spark plug boot for the emergency kill hanging around and the wire touched my hand while the motor was idling around 4000 RPM. Wasnt that bad but it stings.

for some reason...the choke doesn't stop the engine and how do go kart people start their engines because the return spring sets it on idle and that's why it's hard to start. how do you start it at medium throttle because it's hard to pull the pull starter while holding the butterfly

I highly recommend this procedure for cleaning tanks that are heavily gummed/varnished. Never for carbs.
I have never used so-called carb cleaners.

Removed diaphram, plastic air filter spacer, and the plastic fuel tube. 3HP Briggs carburetor. Dipped completely under in Acetone. 1 hour later, removed and heat-gunned till it was literally sizzling hot.

Started on 2nd pull.
