3 across the back? How about each with independent suspension? THAT would have some great offroad performance.

Ranger : I do that for a number of reasons mostly for effeciancy, you are the first person who has noticed that I do that.
gokart14: its magic
Ranger: I plan on useing hand controls for the brake.

Imagine all 3 being totally independent. :D It would have to have chain drive to each tire like Roketa (IIRC) does on some of their IRS. Like a straight back arm holing the tire and is driven from a main JS by chain and not CVs or unis.

Try some WD40 or even clear coat to keep it rust free. Just clean it off before you try to weld/paint it.

T-man, If you are going to use POR15 I would let your frame rust now. POR15 really needs rust to be super strong. if you paint it over that shinny metal it will not be strong as nails. Rust it or sandblast it or do not use it. Also no sharp edges. It's to thin at those points.

Also if you follow my por15 tips you can paint the whole trike pretty easy. Do not sweat it friend. The starter kit is only about a baby jar of paint. But por15 goes long way if done right.

I will be doing some po15 myself soon. I will make a vid on how to make a starter kit last.

gokart14 : one thing that helps alot is the atmosphere, up here in montana it is very dry.

The biggest problem with the three tire set-up would be the same problem the the real batmobile tumbler had, to much surface contact that the thing was vertualy imposable to stear under normal cercomstances.

Big : Most of it will be painted with the POR15. once I'm done Im going to wip out some emery cloth and take that to the whole frame. Then spray it down with the hose. Spray it down a few times over a few days ... let the rust spread.
I"m assumeing that I'm not going to want the thick rust that comes off on my hands - right ? We want just surface rust ?

Just slightly more than surface rust is fine.

I don't know if that would work as the CVs are a fixed length and would probably wouldn't work. I may be over-looking something, but it's not currently working in my head. I think direct chain drive would be needed for each.

I would have given him a gold medal myself, but silver isn't bad either T-man.

Paint the guard black for sure. If you paint it gold it will just get scratched and beat up. The por15 will look good for life and take the abuse.

I would paint it all black. The brake fliud will eat that gold paint of in about 5 minutes. It does not stand a chance against the por15. Something to think about friend.

To many colors t-man. Gold black and blue engine with brown seat??????????
