and theres alot more colors.

well, heres what i did to the tensioner. the bearings i had didnt fit the bolt that was welded to the tensioner so i cut it off and drilled a hole for a bolt.

should work much better.

ugh... when i push it forward the chain wants to fall off to the side automatically. its dead center, but i dont get whats wrong.

maybe washers on the sides of the bearings?

when you put the washers on the side only use one bearing so it has smaller movement and wont be moving around as much. It might not make much of a difference but just somethin to think about :D

Try Cam's straightedge technique, and while you're at it, make sure there's no twist. If the engine is tilted a bit side to side, or turned a bit left to right, that will cause the chain to leave...

Well see, we might be getting a welder this summer/spring... untill then I ll have to learn to use the torches...
brazing? with oxy acetylene torch? wont be as strong as a weld since it doesnt really penetrate. i wouldnt braze a go kart.

As someone said in a previous post, you should maybe move that kill switch so that you don't rip your 'crown jewels' open if you have an accident. It might be a bit painfull if you know what I mean.

Errmm... Uhh... brazing... I dont know... Is that just taking 2 pieces and melting them together? Or using some kind of filler?(coat hanger or something)
But yes, oxy acetylene/propane.

Anywho, thats a nice looking bike.
Custom exhaust would be cool...

Brazing is much like gas welding or soldering. Open flame from torch and filler rod required. Usually bronze or brass alloy. Melting temp is lower than steel, so the joint is nowhere near as strong as a weld, where the base metal and filler metal all get melted together.
