flipped my kart

so i flipped my kart and now it doesn't run and my electric starter has stopped working (loose wire somewhere). i can pull start it it will idle really roughly and will die when i hit the gas.

Have you guys got any ideas as to why it dies when i hit the gas?
i pulled the carp, it was a bit dirty so i gave it a clean but the engine still dies when i hit the gas.
my engine is from a 280cc suzuki king quad.

Probably got oil everywhere when you flipped it. leave it for a couple of days and try again.

clean/replace your plugs. how long was it upside down?

2 minutes max for a flipp ant enough to do anything major it sounds like you got water in the gas but i doubt cause i assume u run quite abit throu it. second would be get a new spark plug and change the oil. if any oil seept by the rings it will burn out pretty fast. you said you cleaned the carb but it really sounds like you got some water in it or something is still in the carb it never herts to clean it a bunch i would get a few spark plugs to be safe do it all crank it and run it bout half choke and try to give it some gas it should rev up then and help burn the oil out if it dont check plug pull and clean carb relly really good again and drain the gas tank and add fresh gas let us no wat happens then it should do good though

Assuming this is a 4 stroke.

You probably got oil in the cylinder, then fouled the spark plug trying to burn it out. Buy a couple new plugs and it should be good to go. This is why its always a good idea to carry a spare plug and wrench when on the trail.

pulled all my wiring off today found heaps of loose wires, i guess twisting them together just won't hold. now i just have to buy a soldering iron and some heat shrink to make some sold connections.

ahh at least a bit of tape...... a soldering iron is a must for this work...

why wouldnt you solder the wires together?...

Solder followed by shrinkwrap is the best method.

u could use the connector clips if u want to remove any thing

You can always strip enough rubber off the wires to tie them in a knot, then heat shrink

all them loose wires is ganna be a pain to get back right and ganna take you a while but i got an ider if you ant got enough wire to do much with, find something with a bunch of wire in it like a washing machine or dryer they got a ton and old dishwashers in the back and strip it all out and lengthn every wire from what ever way your goin to a to b. soder them together good or just twist em. then if you got a old water hose or or buch of radiator hoses or heater hose put that around the wire to keep anything from hittin and rippin wire away and the extra little length of the wire would help it with he bouncing of the cart

All of those loose wires are going to be a pain to get right and this will take you a while, but wait, i have an idea, if you do not have alot of wire to work with, find something like a washing machine which has many spools of wire present and you can use the majority of this wire. solder them together ( i will ignore the twisting) then get some hose and wrap it around the wire to stop it ripping or hitting any thing else, and the extra length will also help with you are driving your kart.
