Looks good. Do the steering connecting rods effect toe in a lot when the wheels travel?

They aren’t connected yet so they are more parallel with the arms when attached. Gotta buy some rod ends and adapters for them still.

Put 300cc shocks on back and 250cc shocks on front.

Check out Red Beard's Garage on YouTube. Their building a kart similar to this one.

I’m gonna have a lot more hp then their vehicle. I am getting billet reservoir style coil overs before it’s all said and done.

Those tyres are sexy. Hahahaha :D

Well a good friend said buy him some handlebars and he would give me the wheels and sand dune tires for free so it was cheaper. I’m gonna put some knobby style tires on the wheels later. This was for mock up as these are the tallest tires I will ever run.

And I got my sweet racing style suede steering wheel in. Still gotta wait on the adapter but for less than $30 I love it. It works perfectly !

Well can you say “long travel” suspension for the win ! Everything works perfect. Now if it would warm up I could start on the back half section...............

Awesome. Suede steering wheel FTW. ha.
Newb question: Do the front and rear shocks serve to limit travel up and down? Was wondering if a jounce bump stop would help with some of the stress the front ends see on the SpiderBox

On mine yes the shocks limit it. But I’ve converted everything over so it has a lot more travel then normal. I’m gonna buy longer shocks and move the lower mounting point more towards the spindle so I can keep my longer travel suspension. Took a lot of measuring and searching to get everything to work properly with the right geometry in full motion.

No more front end Yerf dog blues anymore ! All the bad issues about these are 100% fixed as of now. Still might add some bracing later tho. Bulkhead fully reinforced and welded to the frame. And new Yamaha full front suspension with high end rod ends for easy fixes if I break anything later......................

Looks amazing, and some insane travel! How could you stop the suspension from making the kart bottom out without adding a solid stop? If, say, you take a large jump and bottom out upon landing; that way you could still have the travel for rocks and stuff..

I’m gonna hopefully find the correct length shock to stop the chassis from hitting the ground before full compression or like you said just add some bump stops. What’s funny is the driver side has the original shock hooked up still so I still have another inch of travel or so if I wanna add some more ground clearance.

Got the old rusty floor pan out and now I can weld everything Yerf dog forgot to weld ! Which I might add is quite a bit of missed locations over the whole thing.

And also got the original rack and pinion rebuilt and got the new ends welded on to match the rest of the front end. This officially makes the whole front end fully welded and ready to roll and steer with the added brake calipers to finish it off.

Minor update. I’m going for the Indy car look. I’ve got everything in route to finish the roller but the axle. Not positive in width yet ! I am gonna build me a fiberglass body from scratch also so this is gonna get good so stay tuned boys and girls.

And I’m still indecisive on what engine to run. Really want a 1000cc sportbike engine but haven’t ran across a good deal yet.

Will post some updates next week with the street tires on it. To get a real idea of stance and what length shocks I officially need also.

What is a good deal? I kick myself everytime I spend the better part of a grand putting a Predator together.

I have found a zx6r for $300. But you can find the 1000’s for around $500 but you gotta be patient and wait for a wrecked bike.
