Sorry to post this but I'm going to try and do the engine swap this weekend...I'm average at best with this sort of thing so I'm wondering if there is a good step by step project log out there that could help as I go? Thanks
you will need to put the jackshaft sprocket on the outside of the torque converter driven unit because the engine shaft is so short and you need to line up the drive and driven units.
I recently acquired a Yerf Dog 3202 for $75.00 .It has a Tecumseh 6.5 engine. It has set out in the weather for two years. I was wanting to dump the engine. What would be a good direct replacement?
Just because an engine sat out in the weather doesn't mean it's toast. Inspect, analyze and replace what's faulty. Get it running and sell for profit-$$$ or keep for another project.

Well, I've got to refute you because you're against the stated purpose of this forum, which is to DIY. You're just a parts replacer, dude and a true Generation Y'er. Instant gratification is your mantra.
Tearing an engine down to its component parts and building it back up again is its own special reward, especially on something as simple as a flathead Briggs or Tecumseh.
Try it sometime. You might like it.
