Well for the price its going to cost you to push 30hp out of a 420 . You might as well drop a nice 250cc bike engine in there.

Also you can only build the motor so far until it just becomes un-practical to put it under everyday off-road use.

All of those "50-60hp" are only ran a few times then put in for rebuild. and even at 30 which that i do believe it could produce. your cost for build is going to be up there.

I enjoy building engines so that's not a big deal and neither is the money.
I will however have the chance. I picked up a 3203 frame today for $25. It's in good shape but its missing the roll cage, rear swing arm, seat, and tires.
I decided I'm going to compare and see which is better. I'm going to build the 420cc and get a 150-350cc atv/bike engine. I'll compare them since they're basically the same frame and report which is better.

I saw it going down the road in with a pile of scrap. Well I used to work at the local scrap yard so I called one of my buddies down there, he said it did come in and I had him set it aside for me. Since I worked there I get a discount.

I'm planning on running independent rear suspension on this. Other than that and an atv engine I have no other plans for this so far. It was a pleasant surprise I couldn't pass up.

Just bought a 99 Yamaha Warrior 350 for $1200
It came with 3 sets of plastics, spare bars and grips, and it's bored .40 over with HMF exhaust.
