My dad bought a old (50s or 60s) model 23 briggs last year to replace the oil burner 8 hp briggs from the 70s that isn't practical to run anymore. mostly cast iron, weighs a good hundred plus pounds. Fired up on the second attempt after sitting over the winter in a half finished shed. This thing was built to work AND built to b worked on, the points are in plain sight under a dust cover held on with 2 screws.
