For general offroading it's not ideal, but a high rpm powerband is not a big problem. For 'mud bogging' which I assume is when you pretty much go into a mud hole and get stuck, it would be difficult to slowly creep your way out without spinning the wheels (unless you had some crazy tranny setup). That's all I meant.
i'm not saying there's anything wrong with running a higher rpm thats just if you wanted to move the powerband to a lower rpm, and with a 1000 it'll still have plenty of power on the bottom end

Just for the record, folks- Mudbogging requires high WHEEL speed- engine and gearing accordingly.
