Why doesn't Canada rhyme with Granada?
Because they are not rooted in the same language...
Did you ever wonder about directional adverbs used in phrases with no directional connotation?
Up north, down south, out east, out west. Kinda makes sense. Where it takes a dump is our maritime provinces. Everybody from Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island would say "Down East". WTF?
