Just poking fun. Geezers like me survived the lack of government supevision, not cuz we were tougher, its just the way it was. Common sense may have been more prevalent, though. Maybe be were a little tougher.....
l'll stop before l get on my soapbox.

Congratulations!
now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Dam kids always worried about safety! Back in the old days we didn't have all that safety s**t! There were no seat belts, air bags or any of that government mandated stuff.
We drank water from a hose, rode dirt bikes bare foot, without helmets. Had no sunscreen, bla, bla bla. We survived somehow. We have the scars, missing parts, broken bones, missing teeth and other maladies. Its the brain cells l miss the most.
Buck up youngns, life ain't even began to s**t on ya yet!
I am from the generation that saw the decline of Evil Knevel, jumped BMX bikes off ramps made of flimsy plywood, knew instinctively to tuck-n-roll, and shot each other with air rifles and steel BB's (because airsoft and paintball didn't exsist yet).

We got the flu and got the f★ck over it, doctors were for broken bones and almost dying, antibiotics were for Pus★ies, childhood asthma was non existent, if we got cut we probably didn't notice but if we were bleeding like a stuck pig we didn't give a f★ck we'd just go home crusted in blood and filth.

We solved disputes with fists push come to shove, where these chicken sh★t losers jump for a trigger knowing they can't whoop their way out of a wet paper bag with a fist full of razors.

To this day I don't get sick like the pathetic twats people are bringing up these days. I got my a★s whooped enough that I can take a beating and give one worse twice as bad. I've dumped dirtbakes doing 30 through trees and brush without a helmet, got up and walked it off.

I've been over the bars doing 35, busted my shoulder... yeah I was wearing a helmet, in fact it never hit the ground until AFTER it flew off my head.

Bottom line kids these days are soft, whiney, pathetic, weak, screen raised, inferior crybabies that would not have survived a single day in the sh★t the majority of this forum grew up doing for fun or dealing with because Mommy and Daddy didn't fight out battles for us.

F★ck around and Find out, I might be starting to get old now, but I ain't getting weak or slow yet.

Its been a few years, but between 1999 and 2014 I owned 3 pretty nice cars. Really got into the car show thing. Probably entered more than 80 car shows over that time period. Never ever dropped my car off and left it there. You take your folding chair and your cooler and you sit by your ride. It's your pride and joy. Sure you spend time walking around checking out other peoples stuff, but you are there. I realize you are at the mercy of your parents, but if you want a good spot, you get there early and stay put.

I get what your saying but this car show is an indoor car show (many people I told didn’t realize that) and they have rules like where people are supposed to set up and what you can bring in. The recommend no chairs and coolers are banned but some of the people said if you come early they might let you bring in anything.

Yesterday (Saturday) was a very interesting day. When I got to the show i was walking around with my friends and I got a phone call. The guy was talking really fast and it was loud and all I really heard was “are you here I’m by your car.” So I went over there and this guy looked about 17 - 21 was interested in buying my car and I said “make an offer” he said well “I need this in 2 weeks because we have the shortest women to win the Guinness world record who does burnouts in cars for her viewers.” the whole situation seemed really sketchy and I personal thought the guy seemed really high. By that time my friends slowly walked away a few steps and the guy said “well how about I fly you and your 3 friends to Texas pay for your hotel and flight back and even pay shipping for the power wheels?” I didn’t want to make any deals since neither of my parents were around so I said “I will have to get back to you on that”. By that time my friends came back and whispered to me “WE NEED TO GO NOW” and I was like “no this guy might actually want to buy it and he seems to have quite a bit of money”. the guy then offered to have me build him one just like this but with a different body and I asked when he needed it and he said ”it has to be in Texas in 2 weeks”. I knew I couldn’t build it that quick since I’m building at school with short amounts of time So I said “idk if I can build it that quick it would be pretty expensive“. Then the guy said “well if you put those wheels on yours it will do a burnout“ and he was pointing to the go kart next to me and I knew it wouldn’t fit but I just agreed with him. Then he was talking to the older gentleman next to me and then I was like I really need to go so I told the guy I need to go and he was like I’ll text you details.

when I walked away I noticed his hoodie said feature fans so I text.ed it to my dad so that I would remember it. Then one of my friends realized so he looked it up and it was “adult content” so I freaked out that I just sent it to my dad and then we looked up the womens name which was tiny texie and we realized, well you can look it up yourself because I don’t want to get banned.

later that day I was talking to the older gentleman and they said “that guy seemed really weird I think he was doing drugs” and I said “yeah me and my friends definitely noticed that too”. The one guy said “I would not of wanted you to talk to that guy if you were my kid”.

i told my dad the whole story and he decided he was going to talk to those guys and see what the whole thing was about and if I told him the right story before we make a deal with him.

the whole car show is a cool experience and memorable, the shirt I got is cool and memorable, and (if you haven’t looked up her name do it now) that girl wanted to buy my car, and now I wonder what will happen today? After all the awards are today

I won 1st place. It was sitting on my seat when I walked in yesterday. Somone wanted to buy it and we agreed on 1k but I said I can't sell until 2 weeks and my dad said I should call my uncle to cancel the race and my uncle told me to sell it. But then the guy said his wife said no if I would have told him yes at the time he would have taken it. He also pulled out atleast 5k from his pocket so he was serious.

I do not want to be negative or say to much as I’m only reading along.

I would of sold it INSTANTLY and made a post on here asking about that fully specd Gps bike..

If that kit was $490 shipped that’s like $510 to buy and build a predator + add upgrades to the bike itself.

If you were to go a cheaper cruiser style MB saddle bag bike it could probably be specd bought and built then made street Legal all for $1,000 A whole lighting system mirrors and all can be had off eBay from China very cheap.

Honestly you might find you want to spend it on something else than small engine related stuff entirely. There’s $500 fords laying around here everywhere. before I bought a bike I’d buy a truck and go mudding with everyone up behind the farms..

I wish I would have taken that offer. I wasn’t sure how my uncle (or whole family) would react because this race has been planned out for probably 5months now. I also knew I would probably get lots of people on here that would disagree with selling it before the race. I just made a decision in the moment and it was good but also bad. I didn’t want to let down my family since everyone has had some part in helping me but I did also want the money. I personally think I made the better choice because I wasn’t as greedy and put my family before what I wanted. If I would have known my uncle would be ok with selling it, I would have never hesitated and sold it then and there.

I guess I learned from what happened and I should have been ready to sell at the time I got my asking price.

I will be posting it on marketplace instantly after we race that’s only if I don’t wreck it.

Great news, I raced my uncle this weekend and I won. We both had some problems with our cars but in the end I crossed the line first.

my car: I was going fast and when I hit a bump the chain slipped off due to so much slack. (I know should have used a tensioner but I didn’t have time)

my uncles car: His motors burned up within 2feet of the starting line. One was still working but slow and the other completely stopped. His was pretty much going stock speed.

I will add pictures tomorrow but I did lots of burnouts this weekend. I have at least 28 on photo but there was for sure 10 more. I almost got the cops called on me and you will understand when you see the one picture. Oh yeah and I did a burnout on an elementary school grounds little did I know a camera was pointed right at me. Oh well it was still cool.
