Lmao you have it on backwards. And its not there fault if it wont work with your chasis desihn. Its ment for race karts. Thats why I purchased the plain jane straight pipe and not a curvy all over the place one, KISS.

ok i found out that it was upside down that it was hitting the frame and i thought it was hitting the motor anyway its now pointing the wrong way for how my motor is mounted is actually in the drivers seat so obviously i gotthe wrong one are there headers that go the other way? or could i heat this one up and just bend it a little here and there

You could bend it a little here and there or cut it where it hits the primary clutch and put it on the other way so it points straight down.

I would just cut it at the flange and re-weld it in another direction (if another direction will work). Then you won't make the pipe ugly with extra welds in the center of the pipe. Just bolt the flange down to something strong and dont over heat it so it warps.

Edit: That might not be as easy as I thought, the GX390 (mine) the exhaust port is a perfect 90 out the side of the head. Yours looks as though its got a bit of pitch to it.. either way the extra welds will make it look funny, bend it if thats the only way, dont cut it and re-weld in the middle of the pipe, yuk

If I were you I'd provide a sketch to demonstrate how to make one fit, then have identical pipes. I would the guy to fix the one you have, because he's obviously willing to help you out, maybe you should meet him halfway I.E using materials already purchased. **waits for tyler to chime in**

:iagree:

If you’re unable or not willing to chop, cut, re-weld letting this guy do it will be best. I would take top view and side view pictures of the engine and then draw in the dimensions (from header mount to outside of TAV, etc) so this guy knows what he is working with... He’s being very cool with you to rebuild the header, but I doubt he will rebuild it twice... Giving him all the info he needs to do it right the first time will be very important.
