What's up guys? Just wanted to say hi and say I'm a big fan of all of the projects that are going on here. I love all of the ideas flying around and the creative spirit that gets fostered in places like this forum.
I'm what you might call a backwoods engineer, I like building things out of other things and always prefer to use what I have laying around.
I've got about half a million projects going right now but here's one I've been working on pretty steadily. It started life as a Manco 486lxt kart. Well enough but I couldn't ever leave THAT alone. I put on a Honda GX160 that I had previously shaved the head and ported. Then I took an old oven, the outside skin of a water heater and the hood off an old MTD lawn tractor and banged out a hood, some sheet metal body panels and a ridiculous rear spoiler. It really changes the look of the kart, kinda looks like a mini dirt track car.
What do you guys think?
