Welcome to the site. One of the first properly running small engine that's turbo'd. I think you need to work on your oil supply though as all I see is a gravity feed setup which wont work. Also dont rev the sh!t out of the engine with no load like that.

Thanks been working real hard, it coming together real nice.
Once the jackshaft comes in the mail, I plann on hooking a oil pump to it, so I can Feed the turbo, and filter the oil.

The engine is stock except for upgraded valvesprings.

So basically the pump will only be turning when the jackshaft is spinning? That's bad because when your engine is idling your turbo is starved for oil.

I rethought it, and am going in a different direction, let me know what u think.

We have decided to run a mini alternator of some kind and run a mechanical pump that is driven by an electric motor. So the block has a oil plug on each side, were going to pump the oil from one side of the block to a remote filter, than a smaller line from the filter to the turbo and the main oil line from the filter to the other drain hole on the opposite side. And the drain from turbo to the hole were the govenor once was.

running the alternator would let me hook up an electric starter, fuel pump, gauge, ect...

The only thing about running an alternator is that it would put an additional load on the engine with having to convert rotations to electricity and then back to powering the pump. I would think that somehow running the pump off the PTO would be the best way to go and least inefficient.

the gains of running an alternator far out weigh the negative.
And opens a world of possibilities. One would be my fuel pump problem.
Question, if you have a pulse fuel pump does it stop working when you go into boost?
I would remedy it with a electric fuel pump with a fuel pressure regulator for a carb setup. An alternator would be so easy to hook it up. :sifone:

Pulse pumps normally work off of a slight vacumm from the intake. When you start to make boost pressure the vacumm is taken away and goes to positive pressure. So the pulse pump may not work. But you can also get your pulse from the crankcase.
