I see some fans of Craftsman and Milwaukee too. Ryobi was the best chop saw we ever owned and seemed to last the longest. Century is the brand of our huge welder, most of our smaller saws are literally Skil brand saws, especially the metal cutting brands.

My main question for this was guided towards hand tools but it is very interesting to see other's responses towards power tools too. Thanks for the responses so far guys, lets keep it going.

Sholy hit! Bill, that's a nice set up. You must be the only one who works in there because, after seeing those photos, you're one of those people who knows where everything can be found although it's not in it's logical place. This is my mess, don't touch it.

EDIT: I just noticed that the fire extinguisher is conveniently located behind the gas grill in case there is ever a shop fire.

2nd EDIT: Your tape rolls are nicely lined up. I just saw the "Please do not touch" sign. Apparently there's others in there with you.

Their is one other person, ... he has been their for like 27 years and he works part time. Well when ever their is something he want to do. I see him on average, ... 1.5 hours a day.

Most of my stuff is SidChrome or old tools i got from my grandad which have no name brand on them but are the best. IMO old tools are so much better then the **** they make nowadays. You want good tools, go to garage sales and swap meets. You can pick up some really nice screw drivers and stuff. My power tools are mostly Makita, my welder is some chinese thing.

Cant wait for next year, i get Snap On through work. $5000 worth of tools for $1600. Im doing a Heavy vehicle (Plant) mechanic apprenticeship with Westrac (Caterpillar).
