Haha its fine, I had a bit of fun off it anyway :D I actually know someone who owns both a lamborghini and a ferrari, plus multiple other expensive cars.... very lucky guy.

Some other cars ive seen in sydney haha

1 Maserati

2 Nissan GT-R's

1 Ferrari

Multiple very nice jaguars

A couple of Aston Martins, one was on a truck, with number plates of the initials of a guys dad I know of, dont know him particularly but yea. At the time we had heard he was getting a new one :worried2:

One of the gt-r's was stopped at traffic lights when I saw it, I was walking past at the time....Got a photo on my phone as proof hehe

I was on a school trip a few years back staying in the outer city area of sydney. At night all you could hear were supercars and tuned cars racing around the streets....Was awesome

Simply put......I

Yea, I was completely taken aback by how quiet it was, no deep engine note from extractors or anything.....It sounded like a garden variety Nissan...

Wanna get a photo of the 240z's? hahaha I love the old Datsuns, I want a 260z personally

i wouldn't mind trying hho on my 81 but i am to cheap to do it. i have played with it but i always have difficulties sealing my systems.

i think steam powered vehicles would be cool. i have also seen Jay Leno's collection and it is sweet.

thats a cool car haha

Depending on the parts you use it can be a fairly cheap project...sealing is an issue with alot of dry cell configurations but wet cells are pretty solid

Thats awesome, I love the chalkboard paint hahaha... It must absolutely fly considering the turbo. I saw I think it was a 260z leaving the annual hill climb event in my area last year, I think it was just a show car. But god did it sound awesome. They arent even that expensive too...One day Ill have one....either that or a ford escort

Ah ok, that explains that. V8's usually handle higher milage.....still 480k is a lot. But yea as you said, less than 1k is alright, you could probably replace the engine for less than 500 if it went, dunno if its worth it or not or if thats how much it would cost lol just sounded right :D

I just saw on another thread that your under 16, can you guys drive v8's on your provisional licenses? I'm jealous haha, over here we need to be either 20 and off our second P plates, or have a special permit that says we can drive it to school and work etc

I'll tell... All these states and their rules about drivers license. Here in az. 15 7/12 you get your learners permit. Must have a licensed driver. 16 you get your licenses. The only restriction on that I believe is your not supposed to have anyone under 16 in the car on the highway unless someone over 18 is there(excludes siblings). Oh and I think for 6 months no driving between 12am-5am.. That's it.Also, my drivers license expires in 2054. I'm 23 and won't have to get a new one technically until I'm 65. Your suppose to update your picture ever 7 or 12 years. Something like that.

Actually i am 16 maybe that was an old thread haha where'd ya see that?

i got my learners at 15 in North Carolina and then down here the rules are basically the same so i was able to get my license like 2 months ago i think i have to wait 6 months to actually drive anyone that isnt licensed around though

to add to the others, and answer your question Jman, Yes you can drive a v8. You can drive pretty much any car (except commercial use or buses etc) when you get your permit. In California you need a licensed driver over 25 with you in the car

God, that all sounds confusing with the 6 months supervised and stuff. I guess our rules are probably just as confusing. We can get our learners at 16, Red P's at 17, Green P's at 18 and a full license at 20. But we have to have at least a year on each from when we actually get the license, except for green, thats 2 years.

L's are unrestricted as to what you drive but must have a driver over 25 in passenger seat, Red's we are free pretty much, only 1 person under 25 between 11 and 5 or something, and max speed of 90kph. Also we can't drive manual if we don't pass the red P's test in one. I passed in manual so I'm good lol. Greens are similar but can drive manual or auto and speed limit of 100kph. We can't tow a trailer over 250kg either  lol

As for the cars, both red and green we can't drive anything over a 6 cylinder, can't drive turbo or supercharged, can't heavily modify the engine or anything either......But we can drive any type of rotary if it isn't turbo'd LOL :roflol: fail laws

As for your age, it was on the, what is your age thread as a poll, or whatever its called.

Oh, and over here you see taxi's for sale every now and then with like 800,000km's on them, thats like 500,000miles. Not bad for a straight 6

that sounds a lot more complicated than America. We get are learners permit - have it for 6 months - license at 16 cant drive anyone under a cartain age for a year, also have a curfew - after your year is up, you can do anything you want
