What is this kart? Ken bar/manco?

Just traded my old indy kart pile of junk for this baby its sweet and looking forward to getting it going it's not in all too bad of condition either. I can have it as a roller in probably two hours and driving in three

Based on the pedals and tires, I'd say it might be a manco, but I cant really tell. The steering wheel also reminds me of something, I'm just not sure what.

Oh shut up jt spunk these are fine the frame is black and on top of my van I can't take very good pics anyway. And I think it's ken bar or similar because my Ken bar shares many common parts with this kart.

I figured that it was up high, based on the quality. So, could you get some better pics, with the kart on the ground.

It gets wet. That’s what rain is, unless it just happens to be acid rain, then they get wet and could possibly have a chemical reaction.

Just drying that kind of stuff off to the touch is hard enough, but drying it to the point where I don't have to worry about rust???
I always keep my kart tarped down, and my other projects on the porch stay toward the center of the eve, so they stay dry. My parts pile and our tools stay in the garage.

Don't know why, but the steering column, and the pedals tell me it's not manco, might be a manco steering wheel mounted on something else. All my manco karts have an "A" style mount for the column.

Literally nothing but a little bit of water in the corner of the top drawer but all the parts in the pile are simple parts mostly tires everything important is in the tool box

Kelch corp makes all kinds of components, steering wheels for garden tractors (which is the only way I've found your wheel) and they did a contract with manco. Your frame looks a lot more like the two seater I asked about and most agree mine is carter, and doesn't look manco at all, steering column, square axle tubes, pedals ect ect ect are not manco parts or build techniques. As jeffone said, looks to be carter bros.

Does it have square tubing for the axles? I am just saying it resembles what folks said was my carter over a manco, but the only one wheel peel manco I have is my kids fox2, and it's also the only manco I have with square axle tubes.

One thing that I noticed is that some moron bent the tie rods so they could switch them around. One goes on top and the other goes underneath the plate, and they connect to the hole on the opposite side of the tire they move. In simpler English, the left tie rod goes to the right hole, and the right tie rod goes to the loft hole. So you need to straighten the tie rods out. Also they did away with the adjustment by doing that.

It's not a Manco....but it is junky!
You can't just go off one detail like a steering wheel and assume you know what it is.

That IS a steering wheel used on a lot of early Sears karts and Brister's Thunder Karts, but it's got Kartco, Brister's and Ken-Bar features, combined, but doesn't seem to be any of those, decisively.

Mighty similar to a Kartco 330/335T with that single steering strut...

But, the design of the pedals, the frame tubing and the bent metal plate on the end of the steering shaft leads me to believe [along with the steering wheel] that it is a Brister's Thunder Kart kart of some type. Or it's a Frankenstein's monster.

I am not saying it's this one, but it's close...

hellion it looks the same minus slighly wider and has a roll bar my seat back was also chopped off but you win you found it. Now you get nothing! Good job!

If you provided better photos like JT told you to, said photos might reveal lots more details like old welds (if something was modified) and other stuff.

Oh well. It’s often pointless trying to get a positive ID on these old yard karts because they don’t really have any value whatsoever. They’re not Rupps, for example.

Mancos don’t really have any special value either (OMG!) They have a cult following, sure, but don’t command any sort of premium high dollar value. Someday, maybe.....
