Boy is this embarassing..so I ordered a TAV2 ripoff off Amazon. Standard 3/4" bore and I was positive I had a 3/4 output shaft.
TC arrives tries on the driver and it doesn't fit. Think oh well its only a little off (I did closely look at how much bigger the output shaft was, apparently not well enough) I started the engine and ran sandpaper over the shaft. Fast forward a few hours later and driver still doesn't fit. I realize that since my engine came factory with a 2:1 gear reducer that the out was bigger than normal.
So now I have a GX160 with a smaller than factory output that I cant reattach the gear reducer and cant attach the TC.
So now I have 3 choices: Buy a 212 predator, order the new GX160 crank for cheaper and deal with ripping the engine apart, which means ordering new gaskets etc, or keep grinding down the output. The thing is, even though it's a genuine Honda, it is old (10+ years abused before I got it) and its making all kinds of noise so I'm thinking that overall, it'll be cheaper and easier to go with the Predator. However I guess I could keep trying sanding the shaft too. I need advice. Thanks

Wait, what keyway problem? By sanding down, one side of my keyway is getting shaved down more than the other. There should be an attachment that shows this. But what is my possible solution? I was thinking that some JB Weld plus some steel powder might work. Give me your opinions on this. Also I can see how uneven I have been sandng..
So I think I'm gonna go down to Harbor Freight and pick up a 212 Predator. Uhg. So done with dealing with all this
Haven't run it yet as I have no gas but I can't wait until I do! Thank God everything bolted together just right. I had to fight the spacers I made for the engine. In one of the pics below, you can see that the engine is up above the mount plate. Used some box tube and a grinder to make them. Chain is loose but when it stretches I can adjust engine position enough to take a link out. Video may or may not be taken.
