That's a pretty bad *** machine! Improvements, more aggressive tires, suspension, and a bigger engine. (Motorcycle)

oh thanks, its got a honda gx..... (6.5hp).

Can these engines be tweeked for performance without spending huge money ?

well with about $200 you can get that thing spinning alot more
all you need is a billet flyweel, billet rod and header (optinal) and take off the govner

also if i wanted to paint this a different colour, would it be best to take it apart or work around the engine and wheels and the bits ?

ok thanks, ive got quads and crossers but this is my first go kart and only had it 1 week, so don't know a huge amount lol

Some expanded metal for body pannels would look really sharp and protect you off road, verry nice when its painted

it does about 30mph , also very good acceleration. and no suspension actually makes it very good fun

we have a photo of the governor on our "Aussie kart" thread... its basically a nylon cog which has a little brake on it, which brakes more as you open up the throttle, i.e. governs revs whilst increasing mass flow.

It would, however, I would suggest sheet metal as it also shields you from water, dirt and dust that may be thrown up, as well as rocks, e.t.c.
Also most likely cheaper.


but sheet metal is heavy!

but yeah probably better
