Yh ill do what you said in the end. But is there a negative effect in having fewer motor teeth?

Not that i can think of. You may be able to cut off your old sprocket teeth and machine new ones in, so you dont need to make a spline.

No axle yet, and i still need to get the steel and drae up a computer drawing of the sprocket. Btw i was going to make a split sprocket design, so it is in two pieces, because it is no harder to make and it is easier to remove.

I may as well take a pic of everything on the axle. Btw you may need to drill the middle hole on your wheel to 50mm instead of the current 45mm

I have also drawn up acad drawing of the sprocket.

hi,
added everything up including shipping and the sprocket.
total for everything works out to be 185 euros. i previously said it would be 150 euros, but the sprocket and carrier are about 30 euros, and paypal fees and extra postal compensation will be about 5 euros.
if you could pay me by paypal that would be good. They will probably take a few euros, but i have taken that into account. Paypal is a safer way, as it means that if the purchase was to go wrong you could get your money back.
My paypal address is:
r_c_2008@hotmail.co.uk
Hope that is all ok,
i will make up a sprocket next week with 34t, and then post sometime next week. everything should be with you in about a week or 2 if all goes well.
I have also cleaned up the axle with some emery cloth.

The axle has 4 keyways at certain intervals. i will give you a diagram of them, however if you want the keyways extended or an additional keyway it will take me some time with a mill, so i would charge 3 euro + 1 euro per 50mm for each keyway if that makes sense, so if you wanted an extra keyway of 150mm long that would be 3 euro plus 3 euro = 6 euros. it would probably take me about an hour to do a keyway that long, so it is a good price. i dunno if you need more keyways though, depends on your sprocket and brake placement.

I will grab some pics

Here are the pics.
The axle with everything on in the approx positions where they could go:

The wheel hub:

You can see there is a taper in the middle, this is why you need to drill to 50mm (below)

Here is a diagram of the axle, with approx positions of the keyways. There are also circlip grooves at the end. i could get you a pair of circlips for £5ish

The sprocket drawing

The sprocket drawig and hub

Hi,
I understand, however, paypal is very sercure, and you can get your money back, like on ebay. However if i ship and you do not pay (i have to be 100% sure too) there is no way of me getting the money, so can i just say that i have over 2000 posts on this forum, i am not about to rip you off, however if i was to, you could just start a paypal dispute and get your money.
Rob
Edit: also could i ask a small favour? Could you give me feedback on the quality and durability of the sprocket when i make it, as if it turns out good, i may market these, or make some for my self for future projects, thanks
