Ok, im guessing the stuff around the wheel bolted to it comes off? So then you can attach the hub?
Nice engine, if i am correct (wikipedia) the dt200 puts out 33 hp at 8500 rpm. 60kph here we come
Your chain is probably #520, which is 5/8" between teeth. Please confirm.
The stock sprocket is 43t i think, as one on ebay listed for a dt200 was 43t. The bike is meant to go 150km/h approx, so i thought double the teeth for 86-90t and have 60-75km/hr.
Are the tyres up for it?

Edit: the sprockets would be too big for the wheel. Either a jackshaft or a higher top speed is in order. Could someone else please chime in what speed that they think you could sensibly get from a dt200 in an offroad kart?

Right mate, here we go.
I am half asleep so i forgot about wheel diameter.
I wacked out my calipers and started measuring stuff on the screen. Came tonthw conclusion that the dt has 23" wheels with a 43t rear sprocket, and 15t on the engine. The final ratio in top gear is 1:2, so the output from the gearbox would be spinning 4250rpm. This gives the bike a top speed of 101mph, which matches with wiki.
I reccon with all the extra weight, 50mph is a safe bet, which is about 80km/hr.
According to some calculations, you would want a 60t or more rear sprocket. This would have a diameter of 12" which gives you a ground clearance of 2". Is this enough? If not you either would want a new engine sprocket, a jackshaft (bad option) or a higher top speed, and less torque and more changes of underwear!!!
What sort of shaft has your gearbox output got?

The only question i can answer to right now is thatfor sure those wheels are up for alot of speed. Is it easy to change the engine sprocket? If yes we can do that. Btw 2" clearance seems very little. Id go between 2-3" clearance to be sure i dont hit the sprocket on any rocks. If changing the engine sprocket is doable then lets do that. So will the hubs fit the rims or ?

I measured distance of sprocket teeth and it is 0.6" (if i measured it correctly)

You know what? Just get me a new engine sprocket a chain and make me the sprocket which will satisfy my needs so we can get over and done with this haha

I cant do that unless i know what your shaft is like. Could you grab some pics of your sprocket and the gearbox shaft.
520 chain is 5/8" which is 0.625". I think your measurement of 0.6" sounds good.
I dunno about the hubs yet.

Ordered the hubs, as they had a 76mm bolt circle. Any chance you could take the sprocket off, to expose the shaft underneath?
Then take a pic?

I just need to know how the sprocket attaches to the shaft, that it is on. I think it is a spline, but i am not 100%. I have never worked with motorcycle engines so i do not know how to remove.

Yeah thats right, but it may be hard for me to replicate. Could you please get me some accurate measuremenys please. Btw the keystock arrived today.

edit: i think it will be really hard to get measurements accurate enough, and you will probably just be better off if i got this for you, as i do not fancy spending hours attemping to replicate the spline.
do you have chain? if not i could get you this which measures 190 cm. i dont know if that is long enough, but it can always be cut to size.

I got a better idea. Make the axle sprocket according to ow many teeth the motor sprocket is that you linked and ill make the engine sprocket and chain here.

Ok, sounds fine, if you can get it done for free.
The motor sprocket is 10t, and i will make an axle sprocket, but im not sure how many teeth.
Hope your not gunna make the chain... It would be really tedious. I also got the bearings... They are quite heavy.
I will try and get the sprocket material sometime soon.

Edit: axle sprocket 45t gives you a top speed of 45mph or about 70km/h, and 3" clearance. Good, or not? The motor should power it ok at thise speeds, but if not then you could make up a smaller 9 or 8t motor sprocket, or you could make a smaller motor sprocket in the first place of about 8t and have a 36t rear with more ground clearance instead. I would reccomend that.
