I was surprised to see it shorted also it has to be a fuel shut off. It has a pointed end that fits nicely in the main jet. I'm thinkin it should run without it. Well actually with it to plug the hole, but with the little brass pin removed.Well if it wasnt broke, it is now
Thats the only reason its needed, looks like..Safety crap mandated by California
Serving and protecting the crap outta ya.Oh come on now. The super intelligent people that run the state of California are just watching out for our well being. How could we ever expect to get through life without their help.
interesting. Its outta here!anti backfire solenoid. Cuts fuel to the main jet when key is turned off
I wish your super intelligent people would stop showing our California wannabes how to f**k things up.Oh come on now. The super intelligent people that run the state of California are just watching out for our well being. How could we ever expect to get through life without their help
Post #2.....Took 11 posts for someone to answer correctly. Not surprised that Spark knew it though, but maybe they’re not common? I’ve got one on my mower and it was bought in Tennessee. Think they AUWLL have anti-backfire devices on the carburetor, not just Cali. Without ‘em they really get the bLaMM-0 after you turn the key and the engine's still freewheeling. Startled me when I forgot to reconnect it once.

So with the key on it energises pulls the pin thingy down and opens the main jet, correct? With it disconnected, you should have idle circuit only. No revvum, no cuttum.
Correct, Sir.So with the key on it energises pulls the pin thingy down and opens the main jet, correct?
So if l were to pull the pin out and cut it off, no fuel shut off? I did that and put it back to plug the hole til l find the proper bolt.
