Love it. I thought A-Team paint at first thought.
I know but thats just so cliche'. The Mystery Machine:idea2: NO:roflol: but really I have 70's G10 shorty that I take to a hand full of car shows and I just might try and do a clone of it and drive around the shows..

How is the engine mounted on that thing because i'm using an almost identical motor on my project and just need an idea of how these motors are mounted
I used the top mount and two of the bottom mounts

Man that thing is cool. I've got 3 of them, I'm a little obsessed. Here's my pride and joy, it's all original from 1977.

Do you have a pic of you van?

Liljack thanks for checking it out. You have 3 of em man I'm jealous. Do you have any Pics of how the body mounts to the frame.I have a few ideas of what I want to do but it would be cool to see how it was done originally.
My real Van is a 78 Chevy I've had it since 1989 and it has gone through alot of changes over the years here is how it looks currently

The frame on the right is the original 1977 frame. I added the bar for the tank holder and one previous owner cut the steering support to make it "adjustable". Other than that it is untouched.

In the picture earlier you can see 2 bolts in the top of the front bumper and 2 on the side (each side). There are also 2 bolts that connect to the cross bar along the top. 8 bolts total. That's the original setup. The back end tends to wiggle a bit because there is not support out back.

I plan to keep this one as a show piece only and rebuild the other 2 the way I want them. One with live axle and more leg room, the other with ATV knobby tires and a 200cc ATV drivetrain.

Sharp van, by the way!

Pooboy WTF are you viewing the sight on, I see you belly aching about everyones picture sizes and yet they all seem fine to me. And there is nothing I hate more than small thumbnails that you need to open in another window and then close to get back to the topic at hand ect ect ....
Oh and I'm a bad speller aswell so sorry in advance..

Try viewing them on a Smart Phone and reading the text at the same time. I'm not the only one...other members have broadband issues
...It takes a long time to load those pictures....much quicker to load the thumbnails...and most of the time clicking on the thumbnails is unnecessary for me....on my little 6" screen....I can see all I need to.

The way I do it...I can load 10 pics in the same post ....good luck doing that with huge pics...

There is a 3 page thread here entitled' 'What kind of pictures do you like? ' ...Where the overwhelming majority of members and moderators state they prefer thumbnails....

So......perhaps a mod could post a link or you could search for it....

Pics are just fine on my end.

Cool build bigair.

Yeah....well....that's usually what the minority that don't have problems have to say....do we really need 3 more pages to prove that the majority don't agree?

If you think so...maybe we should just start another thread....(maybe a poll?) and you can still keep your opinion, but see how many members disagree.

Soooo....we got Bigair and Bighead....what do we get when you guys get together?
