Yeah....I like what you're doing as well....and your pics are bigger than I prefer, but not to the point they are annoying....I would prefer downsized thumbnails...but your thread and pictures load quickly enough...sooo..it's all good...

Carry on

Thanks for the complements on My van! What year is your Dodge It looks Pretty cool?

Man I would like to see a few more pics of the Dodge if you dont mind..and once again Thanks

She's a '77. I bought her in 2009 to replace my dad's '74 that was too far gone for me to save her with the available funds. Here's a couple pics. I don't have any more recent but now she wears some 295's on the back and 235's on the front with a 3" lift in the back for stance. If you have Instagram look up bamavanner. I have tons of pics on there.

I'm loving this build, keep it up.

------------EDIT---------------
Found a pic from last fall next to dad's other van before he wrecked it.

I nearly sent mine out to pasture a few years back due to letting it sit for 10 years and having a couple kids but I saved it here is a few pics of that.

What's this thing called rust you speak of????

Living in Texas has its advantages at times!

(The only salt we get on our roads is when someone tosses out one of those little packages they got at McDonald's.....)

Ok so back on topic.
I got a little done tonight new controls and a steering mount. I might take it for a test rip this week end...

Aluminum pegs and stainless hardware

I made a couple brackets to hold the steering shaft

Well its due time for a test rip to see how things work. I strapped a temp gas tank to it filled it with gas and watched it poor out on the ground.. CRAP in the needle and seat from not cleaning the temp tank i guess so I cleaned that out and put it all back together Ready for the first rip..:wai:

I can't wait to see a video of this thing scooting around.

You inspired me so this weekend I went and picked up my beater van kart so I can begin laying out the new frame for it.

Did you salvage the front decal or get a new one? If you got a new one, please explain. :)

I hope your going to start a build thread on the new frame and van kart! We did get to take the kart out for a test spin on Sat and I did get a tiny bit of video I'll post it up tonight

Liljack it's the original I believe? it was masked off when I got it and took a lot of patience and a lot of beer to get all the tape off with out trashing it.who knows how long that stuff was on there? I have looked around the net for a replacement and found nothing as of yet. I'm looking for the one that is on your van it matches my 1978 perfectly! the one on my van is 1977 or older! I'm still looking but for now I will try my best to preserve the one I have and the side markers as well.:cheers2:

That's impressive. I wonder if a vinyl shop can print to chrome vinyl? If they could, you could make a new one from a hi res picture of your preferred grill. It would just require some time overhead or a labor cost for the vinyl guy.

Can't wait to see that video.

So I grabbed my beater van this weekend and I though you'd like to see the frame on it. It is different from the all original one. It has a halo that the body opening sits in. I'm not sure that it creates that much safety because of the size of the tube but if you were looking for a roll cage and you don't mind climbing in, this is a neat design.

The body is mounted to the 2 forward tubes and the 2 rear tubes. On the top the body just rests inside the halo, no mounting points.

And for the fun of it, here are the 2 vans chilling outside.
