Tyler drag kart help

I will start building a drag kart some time next week and kinda need some help even though i have an idea on how it's setup but still any help is useful.

I have a 400cc briggs that i'll be using until im done building up the 725cc kohler and have all the parts for a slip belt clutch so it'll just be for show for now.

And i have a couple questions if you dont mind me asking.

Would a 32" live axle do for the rear end?

How long and wide should i make the rear end?

What kind of brake setup would be best?

And would a 4.2:1 gear ratio cut it on 18x9.5 slicks?

For a true straight line only drag kart about 34" from outside rear tire to outside should be ok. The best brake system right now is Strange brakes used on my Outlaw car. It will lock the 2 M/T tires with a tap of the pedal with no spongy feel ever. That ratio is a bit low, We shoot for a 6:1 ratio typically. Where do you plan on racing this machine?

Atco raceway in new jersey but just for fun no intention of getting in a league, but im hoping to have it ready by next summer although that depends on if i can get the kohler and it's drivetrain together by that time.

Btw would 1" round tubing good to build the frame?

NHRA has banned Junior Dragster Open as of the beginning of last season. IHRA still allows Junior Dragster Open. The Open class consists usually of Karts, Dirt bikes, ATV's ETC.

Yea that'd suck well i found an old #35 60t sprocket.
