Fuel tank, probably not; fuel line definitely! If that hose happens to rest on the exhaust, the result could be catastrophic...

Of course i will not let the fuel line rest on the exhaust. I will turn the engine and see if i need to switch the fuel tank to the other side too. Maybe it will be ok if i only reroute the fuel line

Thank you

Sorry, I wasn't implying that you would but, things have a way of sometimes being where they shouldn't be :)

I was gonna suggest that but, it seems like a bit of a hassle...

Sweet. I don't see the muffler being a problem for the fuel tank...

Tell me, why did you decide to mount the tank on what will likely be the drivers side as opposed to centre mounting it, just trying to understand the logic behind it...

I guess if you attach the fuel line to the frame it should be safe from the exhaust heat

Because i wanted to keep the rest of the space as a trunk to carry stuff, luggage, lunch or extra gas can for example. i'm gonna make a flat surface with rods going side to side

Brand new 1045 steel Ø1-1/4 shaft, SKF square flange bearings and 42T martin sprocket. Mounted it on the swingarm.

Also, making new wheel hubs suiting the rear shaft.

Wait, wait, wait, I think I see a couple of problems:
1. When the swingarm swings up, it's gonna come really close to the jackshaft
2. Again, as the swingarm moves, you'll lose tension on the chain; to combat this, the jackshaft needs to be at the same point as the swingarm pivots...

I'd suggest replacing those pillowblock bearings on your jackshaft. The stamped steel bearings are not as durable or strong enough to take the load from a buggy motor. Look into some cast ones.

Good job so far.

1. it is impossible for the swingarm to hit the jackshaft unless it smashes the shocks and raised so high that the floor of the buggy would almost hit the ground.

2. thats right the chain will take a little loose when swingarm moves up, but i wonder how much, maybe it will not be a big issue. If it is, i will make a simple chain tensioner by putting a roller that pushes the chain up with the swingarm .
