Did you get a charging flywheel?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

no....but i did receive my replacement pred flywheel today! i could of picked up a charging flywheel, but which one? what works? what fits and has same timing setup?

Thinking another coil next to ignition coil would be enough to generate some power? 3600rpm calculates to 60Hz. Strange and perfect at the same time. wonder if Europe has engines running at 3000rpm to get 50Hz?

Anyways side tracked. Will put on new fly wheel this weekend and get this engine running i hope.

I already put red loctite thread locker on the stud and tightened into the crank case. Thats not coming out anytime soon and JB weld should be cured and strong by now.

But bike is down to frame now. so if engine does run i can ride it :( want to paint it first.

May try and get the other bike running to ride around this weekend. It only has some gas\carb issue to fix i think.

The flywheel of whatever the MB200 used for an engine fits. Not sure if a spark coil would work to generate power.

Well i think i need to figure out my engine problems before adding an unkniwn flywheel to the mix.

Flywheel was wrong! So i took magnet off and put on my old flywheel.

It will idle now but when i try to give gas it dies. If i try to turn off choke it dies. Not sure if too much air or too much gas? Or not enough? Anyone have a guide to pred adjustments? I dont want to put anymore money in. New pred might be cheaper. Or another carb?

P.s. other one is up and running. Not to its best. Only runs with choke on? Seems to have full power. Ill try and take video.

hahahahahahahaha, man what an I D 10 T i am. messing with this second mini bike engine trying to get it running again. cleaned out carb and gas tank etc etc... cleaned plug and re gaped it. Nothing seemed to work couldn't get the darn thing to idle or rev up without dying.

My bad is not knowing that there is an idle jet as well as the main jet. And it was clogged!!! little carb clean and a needle fixed that. was trying to see if maybe i had too much fuel to air mixture....and then i thought ill just watch someone on YouTube clean out the pred carb. maybe im missing something. and bam they remove the idle screw and there is a jet under it! what?

SOOO. i didn't have to buy a new engine for my second mini bike. which is great because im close to painting chassis and putting back together. $100 i can spend on something else.

wonder if idle jet is causing issues on the running bike as well. will need to pull out and clean. see if i can turn off the choke on that one.

oh happy days.

Okay back to The baja mini bike. I was moving the bikes around in the garage and i popped off the choke lever. Thought i could just remove air filter and put back on. Then i noticed that the black lever for choke broke!

Always something.

To fix i drilled a small hole through the choke lever and the plastic post that controls the choke. And filled with some jb weld and put a screw in to hold it.

Also cleaned out the idle screw.

Now it runs and choke fully works. It was only running with choke off(i think off) before. Now it runs great.

Fyi: 12t and 70t so 6:1 ratio on this one. Max speed 27mph. Must have gov still.

What about this part being broken?
View attachment 83330

anyone have an idea on this fix? JB WELD? i dont think i can weld on this with Flux core MIG right?

My thought was i could drill out the threads on it. Put a long enough bolt to go through the broken part and into the engine. That way i can make it a tight fit. And add some JB weld around it to hold in place?

Lots of vibration on the engine dont want this to happen again.

Redrill and tap it...Add a a dab of JB weld ...Then hold it all together with a 5/16:thumbsup:" longer bolt..
