That spring could work just make two holes so if that one isnt enough you can add another one to prevent slippage.

Kohler overhaul

Well guys it had to rebuilt, since it was literally poop.

But i got it stripped down cleaned the block, ordered a new piston, cleaned the head and got a replacement for one since at was also poop, cut the seats, lapped the valves and will get the crank down tommarow hopefully.

I found a replacement piston for it but the original was 3.266 and the replacement is 3.277 and had a chip so i ordered a new one.

and a picture of the head beofre being cleaned

Well i didnt clean the crank since i was freaking out about the pistons. So i went wire wheel crazy on the pistons and measured bore and piston and labeled them.

Also ball honed the cylinders so its smooooooothh.

here are the measurements:
*piston 1: 3.267
*piston 2: 3.267
Bore
cyl. 1: 3.268
cyl. 2: 3.269

But i have a question in the shop manual it sayd the std. bore size for it is 3.270 my bore is under that by .001 and .002 is this normal?
