Well, I was at an antique motorcycle swap meet and a go kart followed me home.
It has a Pheonix frame, A B&S Raptor III engine that turns over and has compression. (Was told it runs.)
The hydralic brakes don't work and The tires are flat.
First things first. Fix the tires. They are tubeless slicks. 3 of the 4 leak from where the split rims mate. I remove the the 3 bolts holding the rims together thinking they would easily come apart. Not so. Tried hitting the bead area with plastic headed hammer. Still the bead wouldn't break.
I don't want to damage the tires as they aren't worn out. Don't want to damage the rims either.
Do I need to buy a bead breaker or is there another way?
And what should I do when putting them back together?
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!
