lol that tire stop is my parking brake right now. i have to get a spring to make the actual E brake work. but ill probably use that block most of the time just to make it easier for the cables and drums...

it has a little popping that you can notice at idle, i wonder whats causing this?

did you ever change the distributor cap and rotor?

what spring are you talking about for the park break? the only spring i could think of i think is the anti rattle spring on the park brake strut but i am pretty sure the park brake should still work.

the cap and rotor look new,, not sure if they are i havent opened it up. i believe that is the "anti rattle" spring

i think if it was valve tap it would be a constant ticking/ knocking

yeah the idle surges just a little, maybe the throttle body is dirty.

so today i snipped the rear tank fuel lines close to the switch to get them out of the way, and some fuel dripped out and it drops a small amount every once in a while... i dont know if it just needed to clear whatever was in the lines still or its leaking or something ?

im going to permanently use the auxilary tank, the rear tank is long gone and im not buying another

i think the front tank is larger and is meant to be used as a main tank. i think the rear one is meant to be used as a reserve. i think you might need to tie the return line from the tank that was removed into the tank that was not removed.

i am not 100% sure about fords but i would guess there is an idle air control valve on the throttle body that could need to be cleaned.

have you replaced the rear leaf springs yet? only reason i ask is i was replacing the ones on my dads ford today and it looks like the one above the broken one broke in the exact same spot above because the one broken piece was removed. you may want to try to avoid overloading it until it is fixed. on my dads ford the stock u bolts were just long enough to fit 1 extra leaf spring. so now there is 5 springs in each side instead of 4. if you can do it at school i would say go for it. the thing that almost seemed to take the longest was getting it up in the air safely in a driveway that has a good slope to it. everything else went fairly easy. had to get some new bolts and round the bolt head a bit but that was it.

I think my school may have got rid of the leafs when they took them off. Yes I do have replacements in from a '96 f150

Good idea on that return line. I think ill do something makeshift or keep it as is (if it won't leak anymore) until I remove the bed to work on the frame., I'll have to remove the tank.

Drove it around with no muffler today again and it's pretty loud.. But I got the cherry bomb today and just got it on, all the hangars too. Still waiting on the turn>down piece.

It's louder than I thought with the glass pack. But I like it loud, my parents don't!

Tomorrow I'm pcking up a new window crank for the passenger side

Also I now have a jack, and a 4 way wrench, so I can change a tire on the road side now

How many miles on that Chevy?

i can't blame your parents for not liking the new exhaust. them straight 6's are pretty loud stock. i like my trucks quiet. draw less attention to yourself and less likely to get pulled over. the loudest my truck has ever been was the day i had the exhaust manifolds off for paint. it was not too bad until i revved it and the choke started doing its thing.

Ok your gonna be fine. Its a Exciter Tone Ring. If im right it controls ABS and Speedometer. Shouldnt hurt the Physical driving though. so you can take your scrap!

You really don't need a speedo if you drive carefully and with the flow of traffic. I hardly use mine and it does work. I know that is a horrible statement, but I want to assure you that your truck is fairly usable.

just hook up a Garmin or something if you dont have time to fix your speedo. Thats what my friend uses cause his says 100 mph when we are only going 60...clearly doesnt work lol. hes too lazy to fix it. (a 1975 chevy).
