Pictures of a Trike built for my youngest son. My first attempt at something on wheels. I know it is pedal powered but it does have kart wheels on the back so hopefully thats ok for the site.
Frame is made from scrap tubing pieces taken from the scrap bin at work. Front forks carved out of alum. plate and round stock. Old wheelbarrow wheel and bike pedals for front wheel.
Candy green powdercoat was applied at work. Seat is actually a back rest and it is mounted on a U shaped seat spring from a horse drawn carriage. Makes for a smooth riding machine small enough for my son and big enough for me 'cause dad has to ride whatever he builds!

Here ya' go. Two old farts sitting on their trikes in the shade watching cars go by. Actually, not a bad idea for when I'm really old and can't ride a two wheeler anymore, hmmm... (two home builts, one hand powered, one foot powered)

No it doesn't. That is the whole point. Unless you are just too fat and lazy to put in the power yourself.
