I got a 30 series torque converter for Christmas. I installed it on my go kart and it runs great. If anyone has advice on maintainace and belts that last long it would be nice if you could leave a few.
Use only original belts, not Chinese knock offs
Do you have a link for a recommended belt? I'm about to buy a knockoff 30 series and I want to run it with a good quality belt.
My torque converter is starting to chew the belt on mine. I have it aligned really good, it isn’t overgeared either. I am suspecting it is the red spring on the driver because it is engaging too early and the driver has little shredds of rubber on it. Should I consider buying a green spring a little stiffer? The cart runs great at low rpms before the driven kicks in.
do you think a 212 cc with governor removed and header pipe and eventually an air filter upgrade kit would be too much power for the torque converter? I don’t have any other moded parts other than that
Is it possible that this is the belt that came with it is just cheapI have a predator 212 with exhaust and air intake upgrade, tillitson carb billet flywheel and cl-2cam with governor removed and it does just fine, just get a better belt, the Chinese one started shredding first ride on it
