Found it last night on craigslist - picked it up for $50.00. Needs some TLC/mods but the engine has spark and decent compression. Might swap out engine with a GX120 Honda I have.

red manco

Started the GX120 Honda today - This motor was a freebe too - used to be mounted on a parking lot line painter - hence the yellow accents. I was passing a local company that sweeps parking lots at night - there was a mower by the dumpster so I stoped to check it out and the owner told me he had more stuff he wanted to get rid of. Ended up with 3 mowers and the line painter. The Honda carb was full of old gas varnish - the original gas tank was so nasty I trashed it. Still have to adjust the Honda's carb since it wont run wide open. Looks like the gov be get removed too.

the pickup

Yea I could have ended up with a couple more line painters but I had to go 4 blocks home to get my Pinzgauer to pickup the freebes. When we returned there were other people taking 2 of the painters. The other 2 were flat heads so I was happy to get the Honda.

your Manco

Spitviper - what make of engine is that on yours? Does the engine get in the way of the foot peg on the carb side of the engine. The GX120 is alot thicker than the old engine - I will have to add on to the foot peg.

Spitviper - you dont have the hi-perf recurved/endoed front forks like mine has :)

Jr Dragster Tyler - yea not everyone has safety yellow accents - I had to use brake cleaner to just get the Honda sticker readable.

It has a 4hp robin (Subaru) which is the engine that came with it when i bought it at tractor supplies for $800, the engine does not get in the way at all.

original black motor lives

Fired up the 3.5 Tecumseh today that came on the Manco.
Since it was missing the carb I tried one of the Tillotson carbs I bought on ebay (6 for $40.00) mounting flanges matched perfect - what luck. Removed the head and cleaned out the carbon, changed the oil and rigged up a temp gas tank. I showed my son how to make a carb gasket out of a file folder and after a few pulls it came to life and ran strong. I thinks its going back on the Manco.
