Hello y'all.
Irresponsible Facebook Marketplace find here. I got a chinese pantora 150cc ATV with a CVT. I'm thinking of stretching the frame and lowering the seat, giving me a cart with independent front suspension and a suspended live axle in the rear, plus the powerful motor. Pictures to come. What are yall's opinions/ have you done this/ what issues should i encounter outside of normal fabbing issues?IMG_3922.jpgIMG_3923.jpg

This is such a great project! I love this. Maybe you should modify the engine a bit like adding a straight pipe (even a muffler is good) and adding an air filter. That thing will go absolute bonkers 🤣 you wouldn't encounter any problem probably because you already have a frame and a live axle etc. So everything is prepared. I'm excited for the results!

Your hack jobs are made from that CBB
Yeah the Mt Top Skunkworks just unveiled the new CBB pallet kruck.
Part truck part kart. Think trophy pallet.
the CBB pallet design is light, srtong, and fast. The chassis is well manored, handling the toughest terrain with ease.
With two GY6 engines JB welded together there is ample power for any downhill terrain.

Why ruin a perfectly good quad. Ride it.
If you want a kart, get a kart frame and build that.
I've seen a bunch of hack jobs trying to make a quad into a kart. It never works right.
Im lazy and the chinese company that made the motor went out of business awhile ago (its not an original motor). The wriing harness was done by a crackhead, and the rear brake is missing. (no caliper, the only sign it exists is the rear rotor). I can use the CVT with its 1/4 inch input with a 212, get suspension, and a gas tank. the piston and top end all need to be replaced and its a weird bore.

I am confused. Is there something in the picture I am not seeing?
I apologize for the confusion. I stripped the top end after I posted yesterday and uncovered the damage. I got the quad for 140$, so I'm not too bothered. Alternatively, I might just use a 212 in the quad frame without modifiying it.

Throw a Predator 420cc in there with a few mods and let her rip!

I assume it needing rebuilt is just an assumption. I got rid of every wire and just used 5 instead. Set the valves add carb and jump the solenoid. Of course after getting the rusted piston to move in the very very rusty bore with a pipe wrench on the flywheel. Runs amazing! Such a fun quad to beat the bag off of.3B36E17B-007E-45D0-8078-A26ED9EB6C4B.jpegA261C4CB-18D5-48FB-9CBB-F8F4CF3BF10F.png

Theres literally a hole in the side of the cylinder covered by the heatsink fins.
