How is the driveshaft not moving on that first one? Gotta be fake.

Who knows. It looks to be a 4x4, but who knows what they did to it. I have a friend who modded a second center diff. for his WRX so that it would be RWD in the summer for drifting and then he could still have awesome Subie AWD in the winter.

some cars only have rear wheel drive

Im very aware of that, I drive one.

Im reffering to the rear driveshaft. I dont see it spinning. Even if they did had it in neutral or FWD, they shaft would still be spinning.

Nope, it's fake.

1) There's only two ways that vehicle could maintain forward momentum for that long with two wheels in the air . One would be if it had locked differentials- at least one, anyway. Anyone with any kind of automotive knowledge knows dam well that running an open differential with one tire having no traction will spin the heck out of that one tire, and will apply no power to the tire with the traction- so, it would just lose speed until it dropped.

Therefore- IF that vehicle had at least one axle locked up, it would be completely impossible to loosen and remove the lug nuts, grasp and remove the wheel, and then reverse the process with that very tire whipping along at road speed. Do the math on the WRPM. The only other way to make that possible would be to modify the vehicle's brake system in order to lock, and hold locked, the brakes on the "up" side of the truck long enough to do the task. While that MIGHT be slightly possible, read my next paragraph.

2) Have you ever watched real stunt driving? The driver must constantly make mild steering corrections in order to keep the vehicle balanced even for a few seconds. The vid does not show any corrections, however minor- EVEN WHEN the guys are moving themselves and the tires around, which would largely alter the balancing, and require larger corrections.

Cute, but crap.

i fugured it would be fake for that reason

unless they removed the alxe and some how put it back togther with one side locked
or they clamped the drum shut

not that im disputing u toystory because u are most likly right but how do u supose it is faked

From a purely mechanical standpoint, I am right.

How they pulled off the scene, anybody's guess. There are many ways to trick the eye. Ask Hollywood.

If I had to guess- from the side shots, the vehicle was supported on the unseen side, and either towed or suitably modified to self-propel for the timeframe (see above mechanical notes)

From the short back shot, you CAN see the vehicle making balance corrections, so they may well have had it legitimately on two wheels long enough to take the shot.

if they had it in 2 wheel drive and the parking brake on with the driving side disconnected it would work fine with open diffs. jut gotta be carefull not to drop a wheel or its lug nuts lol

I mostly agree with that possibility, however-

It appears the front wheel may have been locked, too. Tough to say. Sometimes it looks like the rear driveshaft is spinning, sometimes not. I am having some difficulty fine-tuning my judgement due to image quality.
