I placed an order to OMB. I ordered a wheel, an in tank filter, and a chain tensioner.
The tensioner and the filter were not wrapped, but instead just tossed into the rim and packaged.
Pretty sloppy, if you ask me. But here's what's worse, notice how the wheel arrived.
This did not happen during shipping, the box is undamaged. Some fund at the warehouse just didn't give a turd, and sent it to me this way.

I'm really not in the frame of mind to schedule a pickup and wait for it to get delivered, then wait for it to be shipped all over again.

Yeah, it's not the end of the world, and I can bang it back out, and I suppose I could have tried to bang out the original bent rim if I was in the mood to bang on rims, but I wasn't.

But really, Just what the :censored:?

Wow, no packing peanuts or even bubble wrap on the rim/wheel? :censored:

I'm surprised the box isn't damaged just from having a heavy metal item inside to rattle around freely.

Got some cans of dope ( plane paint) that were packed really well, no damage to the box, but the gallon cans inside were dented so bad they had to be put in a new cans cause the lids were bent.

Seriously. What the..... Is wrong with people.

that's indeed baaad.. all of it (incl the avatar.. it's at least unprofessional!)

I only ever ordered ONCE from OMB (since it's one of the few US shops that offer international shipping) two years ago
the fees were alright, the prices as well..
and frankly I cannot complain about the packaging at all..
everything incl the cheng shin tires was bubble wrapped to suffocate to death
(really.. bubble wrapped rubber? what's the point??) anywho, no scratch no dent no mark, none of the chain grease (two redundant sealed plastic bags) touched anything else...

Again, I couldn't complain.
again that's 2yrs ago though.. maybe their new packing gorilla has a different attitude *shrugs*

Yeah. I got some tires from them a few months ago. That rubber was packaged way better than this steel.:mad2:

Good news! They have redeemed themselves by refunding the money.
Of course I now have a rim that looks as though someone tried pounding out a dent, but it'll work.

There was some crumpled paper on the bottom of the box, but that's it. Nothing on top or on the sides, no bubble wrap or anything.
The gasket, the filter and the tensioner were ok, although not separately wrapped.
I'm currently working on the dented wheel, and I'm hoping I can get it to work.
There was a stamp on the back of the invoice. "MMM"

I spoke with the person who packed your order and told him it was unacceptable. We have ample packing material and the fact that not much of any was used on your order is appalling to me. It will not happen again.

I'm going to refund you $44.99 right now. If you can't make the wheel work, please follow up with me again.

Well I have to give OMB Credit on this one.
Very Professional handling of your Claim.
They admitted their mistake and Made it right. That is what should happen. Good for them.

I had similar Experiences with BMI sending me a Broken Clutch. It was very Difficult to prove to them and it took a week of back and forth to get a Credit. On the other hand They did give me an immediate refund on Shipping. They charged me 9.80 and the parts showed up in a 5.95 USPS Flat rate Box!

Also Northern Tool sent me a Junk Band brake with "Rubber" for Shoe material. One properly worded email and they gave me a full refund.

Bottom line these things will happen, and it is how Companies handle them after the "dent" that allow us to form a final opinion.

For the record I have never had an issue with MFGSupply or GPS.

I believe they handled it as well as they possibly could, and I give them lots of credit.

I think it also helps not to go in like a mad crazed lunaitic when first making contact.
Myself, I like to go in directly, but with just a hint of sideways to make them think.:p

So far omb is the only company I've had an issue with. Order a predator throttle cable. Received an email it was not in Stock although they sold it to me on ebay. Then I waited two weeks for them to ship me a heavy duty brake cable with clevis. I just used a bell cable from Walmart and have the brake cable for something else.

I guess what irks me the most, is the order picker/packager. Someone dropped this thing on a concrete floor at some point. Maybe the packager didn't do it. Maybe someone in Mexico did, who knows?
The thing is, the guy packing it would have had to seen the damage, but not giving crap, he boxed it up anyway. He had unlimited amounts of packing material at his disposal, and didn't use much of them either.
He didn't bother to wrap up the other parts, but just threw them into the box into the wheel hub.

To me, it appears he didn't give a shirt about any of it, and probably doesn't much give one about his job.

I see drivers who don't want to drive, I see clerks who can't/ don't want to help. More and more it's hard to find anyone who likes their job.

You know what? If you don't like your job, you don't like doing it, or the things it entails...

Quit!!!!

Just funding quit! Don't make others miserable, upset, or disappointed because you are a big baby, or just plain lazy.
I really hope they showed this guy the parking lot, and opened up the job for someone who'd be happy to do it.

There's no need to keep people like this employed in any business anywhere.
I don't think OMB is the greatest, but because of this one lazy jerk, they might have lost a customer for good.

Fire these people, or if you're one of these people, JUST QUIT!

MMM messed up packing and shipping.
Vincent accidentally shot Marvin in the face. Same Ballpark (LOL Movie Reference, if you get it).

Jules was left to deal with Vincent's mistake.
Joe was left to deal with MMM'ss mistake.

Jules called Marsellus Wallace.
Joe called OMB.

Jules got help from a special agent (THE WOLF) to handle the escalated situation quickly and correctly.
Joe got an Escalated Customer Service Agent to handle the escalated situation quickly and correctly.
