You know, I've always been attracted to karting because of the beauty of it's simplicity. Why do people want to make it so friggin' complicated with iced fuel coolers and jackshafts and chain tensioners, billet this and that, etc etc ? To each his own I guess.

I remember when a 3.5 hp motor was too dang expensive to even consider buying new. Now you can get an engine with 2x the power, 10x times the reliability and 1/3 the price. This is a golden age for small engines.

I had to let the head of fund raising for the 'Poboy for President Fund' go today. Contributions were coming in a little slow, so I told him to test the waters at 'Go Fund Me'. Turns out he can't spell!!! But man did I ever get the sex offers!

I was really happy to find this little guy! I used to have bunches of geckos around my place....and quite a few green anoles, but a couple of years ago....we had a pretty harsh winter and it wiped them out. I still haven't seen a green anole.

So...this little baby means there is at least one breeding pair around somewhere.I hope a bunch of babies too! As usual...an American quarter for scale.

It smells so good in here...I've got a little "shrimp stock" going on...and I don't even have veggies....just a can of seaoned tomatoes....some herbs and seasonings and shrimp "leavings"....

Man....some carrots, celery, and onion would put this over the top....but we'll see....

OK....so "Remington" ...(my newly acquired ribbon snake) got fed last night. I went out to the pond and caught several small mosquito fish.

So...opening it's Critter Keeper...I accidentally popped the mason jar lid loose I used to plug the pop out hole that was removed to use a water bottle when I had mice in it. Anyway, it WAS glued to the inside..but I put it on the outside...and couldn't find any masking tape...so I stretched electrical tape across the top to hold it.

I got up this morning and one side had turned loose...pulling the lid to the side exposing the hole.

I thought now I'm going to be hunting a skinny little less than 12" snake. BUT! Remington was still in there! Yay!

On the other side....I decided to give Vin Diesel..(my red eared slider turtle) a special treat ...and give him one of my boiled shrimp. Then...I tried to give him some dried shrimp...he plucked one out of my fingers, but dropped it....(no big deal...he does it all the time...he's so scared he's going to clip my fingers he doesn't clamp down hard enough)....but he'll pick them up later and eat them.

But this morning...he hadn't eaten the shrimp...and didn't show too much enthusiasm for his turtle food! OH how quickly they get spoiled! I guess he thinks I'm going to give him boiled shrimp from now on....UH HUH....

Then I caught Sammy (the cat) with his nose in my bowl of shrimp with cocktail sauce on one side...so I gave him a shrimp...he sniffed it....licked it once, and walked away....(That nutcase wanted the cocktail sauce!)

Naw...just sitting on one....little Carolina wren. I've had one come in and build a nest in my sunroom....had to leave the window open so she could come in to sit on her eggs....after awhile....she would just come in and ignore me 3' away.

I've had a couple of house sparrows run into my windows and knock themselves out....one had a pretty good excuse though....a sparrow hawk was raiding the feeders and all the sparrows were scattering for their lives....the other one....IDK.....just PAFR?
