Your gonna need a "gasoline and vodka drink" first, and some used Lumber. 4 old bicycles and some big ole nails.

Yeah............well....I don't quite have all that good stuff! Soooo, I'm going to have to improvise a bit. I only have one bicycle wheel. I do have some used lumber though, and some second hand nails....we'll see.....

Definitely don't have the money to throw around on a brand spanking new engine that I don't even know how to operate!

And I got enough oil to fill an engine....we had a fish fry last weekend!

Well....I found a 1986 F150 for $1000, I plan on getting it Monday.

Then I'll just scrap the Toyota. It would have cost me that plus all the labor of a motor rebuild and swap, plus new tags and not only the cost, but a week of illegal driving to get a state inspection.

This truck is ready to go....(and it's a REAL truck.
....not some little toy)!!! Straight six, 3 on the tree....AND....wait for it

..IT HAS A HEADACHE RACK!!!!! (I got spoiled with the one on the Toyota! )

I'm excited!

BTW: Some of you may remember....I was restoring an 80 whem the city screwed me, so I have a buttload of parts to restore this with....(most parts are interchangeable from 1980-1086.)

Got a ride lined up for tomorrow!!!!!!!!. I'll post up pics tomorrow...(maybe even of the truck!).....(It's right inline behind Cancer's dirty undies)....But who knows? He may actually catch up on his delinquent 'Poboy for president' pledge!

We're not buying your excuse you misplaced a decimal point Eric! At any rate....your pledge reads $1.50.... not the $.15 you have surrendered and claimed!

Man up!

OK....Well...that was a waste of 3 hrs. of my life! They couldn't find a key, so we had to break in through the rear sliding windows....(these idiots were trying to pry up the window vent lock.....which won't move unless you break it!)

After I broke in they had to open the driver's side door from the outside to let me out....the hood release handle was missing....but I yanked on the wire that replaced it....but the hood still wouldn't open....so I had to work the hood while he pulled the rigged up lever. After I hooked up the jumper cables he spent 15 minutes pumping the gas and cranking before it fired up and finally stayed running..He said it had been siting 6 months). Isaw some issues in the engine compartment that were going to need to be addressed .It was a 4 on the floor, and first gear was really low. Clutch travel didn't really seem right to me but who knows? The interior was completely trashed, no radio, no AC, A lot of dents and rust on the outside....and the tires were on their last legs....

Still....it ran good...(the engine only had a very minor miss at idle)...and it pulled really well. You couldn't downshift into first unless completely stopped....

But....I thought what the hey....driving and inspected up untill December next year???

Gonna need a lot of work...but screw it....I'll take it...IDKY???

Well....they wouldn't take the credit card because it wasn't in my name....and it was gonna be another $250 for TT&L....

He started telling me how I could get cash....do this....do that....

I said: "Listen man....I told you this was a one hour one way trip for me, I'll tell you what I can do....go buy and different truck, and you know where you can shove this POS!"

So...as I said on the way home...that's probably the best thing that could have happened! !!! I already found another one :82 six cylinder auto.EXTENDED CAB! CLEAN...I mean REALLY CLEAN...Almost perfect interior, straight sides and front...(no back pic)... Paint on hood is faded...but elsewhere is shiny. $1200 TT&L included...I'm taking cash..and going to try to get it for less...

I just need to be able to get it home....says it runs and drives but needs a carb. Gonna call tomorrow..(found the ad 30 min. after they closed! !!!)
