OMG!!!!!! I just tried a sip of nearly two month old Kombucha I was fermenting. Holy cow!!!! I think I poisoned myself!!!! That was insanely intensely VINEGARY!!!!.....(ish)....what the heel....it was just NASTY!

The scoby was happy though! (It was born in that quart jar....and a firm 3/8" thick now!)

Oh well....I'll just make more!

EDIT: On second thought....I think I'll throw some pumpkin pie spice in there and some fresh sweet green tea and re-ferment it!

Ok....so the woman who's kitchen I'm remodeling just stopped by and dropped off a little cash....but she questioned whether I had the right red for the trim!

Now.....everyone who has seen this says one thing: "I don't know about that red!"

Well....after a short tussle (and trying to get her to change that red)....I finally gave in and used it.....HERE'S THE RUB!

She doesn't think it's "RED" enough! !!!!! Said it looked "brown"....I said: " Bring whoever in the world you want in here, don't say anything, and ask them what demmed color that is!" Then....ask them if it's "too brown"....

She says: (I swear to allya...(he..he..)....."I don't care what anyone else thinks, it's my kitchen and I know what I want...." I came SOOOOOOO.........SOOOOOOO.....DAGNED CLOSE....TO SAYING: "REALLY? Then just walk outside naked....'cause people are gonna be laughing at you and talking behind your back either way!"

Oh well....looking forward to doing a little rainbow trout fishing here on the 7th...(they're stocking on the sixth) ....

They've already stocked several places already....but they're a little further away...

And..besides....trout fishing in short sleeves in Texas ...well....something just doesn't seem right about that!

They're saying we may get snow this weekend, right now it's about 72°f!

It was like 60 here yesterday lol. Usually by now we have a foot of snow at least. Loving this weather. Thank you El nino/the jetstream/ global warming/ the magical weather elves/ whatever.

Took Felix (my full grown wild Texas rat snake that I've only handled a few times) out for a little while....

I reached in and grabbed him without gloves. I handled him for awhile, and he was a little bit wild...(but I managed to keep him from biting me).

As I went to put him back...I took my eyes off him while I did a little rearranging in his cage....and I felt the little booger...(if you can call a 4-5' snake "little" ) bite me in the stomach.

I swear....these snakes are like little kids, you can't take your eyes off them for a minute!

Anyway, I'm not sure what he was thinking....he didn't even break the skin....kids....go figure!

Speaking of pets: Vin Diesel has gotten quite a bit bigger since he posed with a DIY sticker last time....

I've been having a lot of fun here with the "Poboy Store"....but I'm actually thinking about offering some custom made products online. The rocking horse is the last one left from when I was making them....I am also thinking about custom personalized paper towel holders and wooden signs.

These won't be available at "The Poboy Store "....but online..I'll let y'all know if, where, and when...

This will be for real....(if I do it)......

BTW: Thinking about offering these rocking horses in a DIY unfinished kit....
