I see you're having translation problems again! Want it- no....Deserve it ? Yeah- Probably so!!!!!!
Honey, no..
you mix a good amount of bleach, pool shock and vinegar in a closed container inside a non ventilated room, wait a minute and then take a breath...

That is, "Asking for it" in any language :D

On a different note- I'm planning on going to the minor emergency clinic on Monday but for a different reason....I finally have a steady income and I have to get blood work done so I can get back on my meds. It's been really rough without them- especially working full time.

Compare it to working with the flu every day and that being the best you feel- energy-wise. When I talked to them on the phone- they freaked out when I told them the meds I haven't had. She said: "OMG- you quit BOTH of those cold-turkey? Bless your heart! Let me talk with the doctor and see if he feels comfortable bending the rules to get you some until you can come in..."

These are drugs that control the brain. Anti-depression and hypothyroidism. ... ( both of which came about because of the Cancer )- anyway. .. it makes doing anything 3 times as hard. (Been off them for over a month. ..)

So- for better or worse- I'll be back to "normal" ( at least normal in the "Poboy way" ) in a couple of weeks (that's how long it takes for the chemicals in the brain to stabilize.)

So- consider yourselves forewarned. .....:lolgoku:

I barely know this kid who lives in my neighberhood, he's a senior in highschool, I give him a ride to work sometimes when he needs one.

lately, because of OBAMA CARE. [health care act as I like to refer to it most of the time.] his insurance dropped him, and his family. so for about 2 months, he ended up cold turkey off depakote.. I use to have to take it when I was younger because I had epilepsy, luckily I grew out of them like the doctors said. and I know how that medication makes you feel, just missing a day of it.. and I know how epilepsy feels, I can't imagine what it's like not being able to drive, or worse, ride! or go on rollercoasters for your whole life. and many more, so I understand, and so does my mom.

well my mother noticed a change in him, so she went ahead and asked. [my moms the lunch lady at my old highschool] he told her this.. well she came home that day and told me. I went out an talked to his younger brother, and then got to talk to his mom while he was at work. I convinced her that she really needed to contact his old doctor, just to see if he could write another prescription. well she did, and the doctor was surprised, he didn't even know! and was angry how their new insurance or what ever did not cover him at all! [and I know, depakote isn't cheap without insurance!] so basically the doctor wrote him a 30 day prescription, and charged them the old price [I think he took it out of his own pocket!] and told them to come back after 30 days and he'll write another one, until they can get something worked out with their new insurance policy.! coolest doctor ever!

my point to this long and rather pointless story, there isn't. lol, just sharing what has happened in my life compared to what's yours.

I love finding fencing like that being thrown out! looks like some good pieces there! happens all the time here because everyone is going for that white plastic fencing VS the wood. I love when I can get the 4x4 post with it.

Well- I'm almost ready for step 2.....Unfortunately- I got some kind of bug and have been feeling a bit crappy- so I'm still on step one...... (breaking down the panels)...

But I've been trying. ....the coffee can full of nails is 33.9 oz. (about 6" in dia. and 6 1/2" tall.)......So you can see I've been doing what I can- even sick.

More to come......

The Hypocratic Oath starts "First do no harm..." Although it's his job to prevent his patients from getting sick & to cure them when they do, :iagree: that is above & beyond the call... Not many like that left these days

Unfortunately- I got some kind of bug and have been feeling a bit crappy:

Didi it not occur to you that it may have something to do with the chlorine gas you inhaled?

Actually- it didn't. .....Could be....I did feel somewhat flu-like the next day........But fine the day after as I was prancing about in sub-freezing temps..... I guess it could be a bit too much anti-freeze as well. ...but usually I know when I get sick and fortunately- it's not too often. ....

I don't feel too bad right now- never have gotten completely sick with whatever this is - but definitely felt on the edge of it. ....To top it off-I ate some bad crab last night and woke up with a mild case of food poisoning. I actually vomited- something I managed to avoid through 8 chemo treatments. ...and ya'll should be grateful this site doesn't have smell-o-vision as the gas coming out the other end almost makes me puke.

But I eat a lot of questionable stuff- so I don't usually have a problem with bad food, really- usually just get the runs. Like a 3rd world kid- I can drink the water because I'm immune. .....

As my brother in law used to say " Salmonella is just another seasoning. ...."

BTW- That is the same whitewing from the other day. ....I've found that they are more tender and taste better when thrown in the fridge whole and aged about 4 days. An idea I got from reading about some other country (Scotland maybe?) where they traditionally hang whole ruffed grouse on a porch in 80°f temps for 4 days prior to cooking. Not quite ready to go there yet.

Can't quite do the oriental or Alaskan rotten fish thing either. ....When I was stuck at the clinic the other day I picked up a Hispanic magazine that had an article about a Cancer survivor's adventure crossing the Amazon. There was a picture of him holding a 6' earthworm. I could see eating that- if all the poop was washed out first......( and there wasn't anything better to eat )...

Well I got the fence panels under control. ...I got a link to a song a budry of mine just finished. ....not bad....I can see why he was wanting me to get together with him and whip some lead on it though.....

Then I really freaked when I saw another Ft. Worth based band comment on his song- as the name of that band is a buddy of mine. ....I think it may just be coincidental- but I got to get with this guy and see.....

He's not that guy- but I wonder if he knew the guy that went by that name.....

Anyway- I knocked the dust off the ol'Squire and tortured the strings a while.....

Edit: Just to get an idea of the crazy Texans I hang and play with
....Google up "Slow Jim Moody"- 'Texas Lottery" on YouTube. .....

Well this morning as I was having my morning coffee I heard a whitewing making it's morning calling. I looked for it but couldn't find it and decided it was out of range anyway. ....but then spotted another one. This one was in a difficult spot-causing me to take an iffy rest and thread a needle through branches to hit it.

Anyway- I finally thought I saw enough of it to squeeze off a shot and down it went. The other problem was I could only follow the drop to about 15' above ground- so I couldn't tell where it landed or whether it fell dead or hit the ground running. .....

So I put the gun away and jumped the fence.......and looked....and looked....finally gave up and went back to my coffee. I got to thinking. ...maybe approaching from a different angle......So I take my coffee and walk around my neighbors house to look in both his and his neighbors back yards-but still don't see anything.

The gate to my neighbors yard is open so I walk in....pretty much retracing where I had already looked. As I was looking around- I noticed I had company. ...my faithful sidekick Sammy... (my long-haired big ol' cat). I looked to the back of the yard and spotted a head sticking up....I tried to approach it so when it took off it wouldn't go through the chainlink into the neighbors back yard behind this one. But it spooked and headed straight for it.... ( only about 3' away)....No way I could have stopped it but Sammy did- twice.....He just pounced on it it, but before I could grab it ...it recovered and made another dash...This time Sammy held it down for me until I could retrieve it.

He's not a bad little hunting "dog".........

Lot of thunderboomers right now...some hail and tornadoes in the area.....

So earlier I was out in the garden and found this:......overgrown asparagus! Jeeze- seems like I just looked at it a few days ago.....and no spears.....

Anyway- a few tips and myths with asparagus. ....Myth #1 small spears are more tender (baby asparagus).....not true- small spears are generally from young plants and there is no difference in tenderness untill the spears begin to open.

Tip #1 always put your asparagus in a glass of water and put it in the fridge and use as soon as possible. ....

Now for the one that gets me....I've seen world class chefs peel the bottoms of asparagus and then cut off 4" and throw it away.....it's really very simple. ..grab both ends and bend....the asparagus spear will always snap at the perfect spot....throw the root end away- and the whole tip will be perfectly tender......

Don't know if you can get it where you are. ...heell- I have a hard time finding it but Green Light snail and bug bait is awesome...One of my big problems is sowbugs and this stuff kills them....then the next generation eats their dead bodies and they die....and it kills all the snails and slugs.

It's active ingredient is Sevin....but for whatever reason the bait seems irresistible. ....The most common organic solution is shallow bowls of beer.....but I never seem to have any extra....and then I just wind up with empty bowls and drunk possums.....and I've never seen that big ol' coonreally drunk...so...I guess I'll just be a drunk non-organic gardener for the greater good..... (we have to consider our little 4 legged friends....right?):cheers2:
