I made a Frankenfan today lol, so the house is full of vaulted ceilings and in the office there was this old @$$ flush mount fan that when you turned it on could hear the motor bearings grinding cause it doesn't work on an angle, well I took it apart and welded a down rod to the nut securing the motor and wahlah, old and new parts and I did not have to buy a new fan or leave the house

whoa, one of the kids and I just took a bunch of measurements along our property line to the edge of our current fence, if we don't secure the whole property, we're giving up approximately 3,300 square feet and I don't have to tell you, millions of Americans live on less so that is a lot of space

want to play devil's advocate and tell me if millions of Americans live on less why do you care? I care for the simple fact I paid for that land and I work my tail off to afford it

Your property, do what you will.

I love the neighbor said they'd have to move if you put a fence. That's great.

Tell the neighbor, if they want to keep access to your land then they can pay the tax on it. See how that goes lol.

yes, my dad and I have been talking about all potential outcomes, I'm happy to sell the neighbors a new easement that would pay off my mortgage if they "must" have it lol, and if something bars me from using my land I'll be compensated through a title insurance claim

My grandparents did the same kinda thing. Bought 40 acres and a year later sold off 8 acres and paid off the bank note for the rest of it. Nothing like not owing the bank....

Sounds and looks like your gonna like the place you got.
Do you have an overhead view of your place or can you post one with out too much disclosure?

At the end of the day, its up to you as to what you want to do. You have maybe got to weigh what is going to happen if you do fence it off. With you potentially living there a long time, do you want beef with your neighbors, do you care,...etc etc??

Ya that does look like quite the predicament. Trying to assert ones property and trying to keep a decent relationship with the neighbours...
Although I'm surprised the back guy didnt already know where the corner was... His gate/fence borders it...

well for starters look at the south west corner, see the rock crop that forms the shape of a "J" almost? it is not that long anymore and before we moved in, all those neighbors cut the entire corner of the intersection by driving across my lot, essentially cutting across our driveway to connect with that guy's easement. I noticed the tire tracks when we moved in, i thought for sure with occupants they wouldn't drive across the driveway and front yard anymore but they kept doing it, so I put large rocks in the front yard and one day one of those neighbors let me know he was mad about those rocks

none of these people have attempted to greet us and we've been here 4 months now. I don't owe them anything and I don't care what they think

You know what, if they’re already ****ed off and u do put the fence up. It’s not like they can get anymore upset after that. So go ahead and straight pipe your rides and ride them on your property😂

I mean they already don’t like you, so just send the message of “you started it”

my zabitat.com window arrived today! I wasted no time converting the door to the garage, something has been eating away at me, the desire to quickly see what's going on in my garage, and since the garage door has some windows we'll get natural light in the laundry room during the day- hopefully with no temperature side effects
