Could be flooded. Pull the spark plug, is it wet with fuel or dry?

Warning, everyone else will probally say buy a harbor freight engine. Least give the old tecumseh a chance
the spark plug had oil on it

Sounds like it has bigger problems than a carb will fix. However, i Have a new carb for that i'll sell ya cheap. I went down this road with a trashcumsa engine a year ago. bought a carb then scrapped the engine and bought a predator.

I'm not a fan of amazon crap, so I will refrain from advising you on that.
How about a carb and a coil for $20 + shipping?
I may just try one on Amazon first for about 5 dollars, and if that doesn't work, I will get the one from you

I know nothing about the gas. You stated you think there is water in the oil. I can't advise you on that, but I normally remove any questionable fluids before I try to start an unknown engine.
I also remove the spark plug and check for spark before I even try to start it.

Water in the oil? Did you put anti freeze in the radiator?
water in the oil is a symptom of a cracked block or blown head gasket.
You should pressure test the cooling aystem.

the real question is, how did that happen? Doubtful it happened if it was stored indoors.
lf it was stored outdoors, that ain't good.
