Basically in the mock up phase just trying to get everything where it goes then I'll have a few days of fun before I take it all apart and redo all sheet metal and paint everything to its all pretty. Didn't get much done today had lawnmower repair cut grass and still have to take a trip to dump tomorrow. Work tuesday to saturday this week so busy busy and no fun

OK so I have an idea......OK get that scared look off your face, I have an old jet ski motor is shot but pump is good. Measures 16 inches long by about 7 inches wide, I wanna mount it half in and out of the rear of the body on back and use it as a drive for the water travel on this terra jet. BUT I need to find a way to power the unit as its a complete 90 degrees off my main motor shaft, plus you can't run the unit out of the water, thinking either electric of a small gas motor, doesn't need the power that the normal jet ski does, just needs to move me faster then the normal 2-4 MPH that the tires produce. Thoughts, ideas am I crazy?

Sounds like a great idea to me! Though know-how I do not have.

How much torque would it be handling? There are a number of gearboxes for tractors that transfer power 90 degrees. They are not super powerful though.

Also, if it's going to be powered off the crankshaft, how will it not run when it's out of the water?

Ya I've measured everything and it just WON'T work no dang room to fit either gearbox or another motor. So I'll use it in my 14 foot boat and have some fun. Yes I will post oics of that project too.

Well I've redone seat mount, old one didn't allow removal of chain drive cover and fabbed up a fuel tank mount, and I'm working on a top for it, Your just gonna have to wait for the pictures for that. Latter tonight I'll post them. Still trying to figure out this stupid wiring, runs without harness plugged in and doesn't with it in, someone covered wires in tape then loom and then tape and shrink wrap so it gonna be a PITA to remove to check it.

(CENSORED) Windshield broke over night from temp difference, so thats not gonna work. Maybe a thinner piece will bend easier. Parts for these things are impossible to find.

Try using lexan instead of plexiglass.

Or, be cheap and wear goggles. Plexiglass would be very unsafe if you ever roll or something heavy hits it dead on.

Windshield gives me something to keep rain out and need to connect top to something, a thinner piece might be better tried to use 1/4 inch and was just too much to bend around the sides.

Just trying to get my snowmobile running then I will transfer TJ to shop to work on, Looking into having a custom windshield made from glass thru either a boat or auto custom windshield maker, YES I know this isn't gonna be cheap but I need something that will stand up to snap for the covertable top and the occasional tree limbs.
