Hey All!
I'm going to do an R&R on my TC tomorrow and I ran across this about pre-loading the spring on reassembly:
My Max torque page doesn't say anything about it on reassembly. Is this something you have to do on all makes or just certain ones? Thanx in advance...

I'm going to do an R&R on my TC tomorrow and I ran across this about pre-loading the spring on reassembly:
REASSEMBLE:
1) Insert the spring tang in the number one hole of the fixed cam, place the spring and cam down over the post of the fixed post and only push the fixed cam down about ¼” at this time. (Do not push it down all the way)
2) Rotate the movable face (the part that contains the buttons) 120 degrees, 1/3 of a turn counter clockwise if it has a blue or red spring, clockwise if it has a green spring.
3) Once rotated, hold in the moveable face so it doesn’t back off, push the fixed cam down all the way and replace the retaining ring.
4) Return the driven unit to the jackshaft.
